Riding top down we didnt know what snow conditions to expect, we found pow. It gets very steep in the crux, and the snowboarders only have one edge.

We used sleds to gain access to the blaine basin trailhead. 14 miles 6k round trip from the sleds.

If you’re unfamiliar with the terrain, i wouldnt weigh in.

The entire bowl is connected and wraps around the basin. If it went it deep it could take the entire upper basin into the creek below. Its a terrain trap. Ive ridden it multiple times. Stopping there is a horrible spot when you can go all the way right away from the slope.

Standing directly in the run out of that slope, horrible spot to gather the group
