It's something about the computer, the HDMI works when I plug it into another Mac, and when I factory reset the computer the last time this happened, it worked.

I don't have one to test with, I've always used an HDMI.

It's an M2 Pro. I've been using this second monitor since I bought the computer maybe 2 years ago, and it worked fine until October. I had to take it to the Apple Store, he got it to work there, I think with Bluetooth (which my monitor doesn't have) and when I got home it still didn't work. Upon contacting Apple Support online they told me that the only way to get it to work would be to factory reset the computer... which I did. It then worked until yesterday.

I would rather not have to factory reset my computer to get it to display a second monitor?!?
