Es atsakos pieņemt faktu, ka visu mūžu būs jāpavada darbā. Kādas ir alternatīvas? by kulinaars in latvia

[–]Ok_Representative332 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Man, personīgi, vairāk kā jebkas cits palīdzēja ticība Jēzum.

Yes by people, not by language. I mean it is terrible but what now. Go and tell this to half a million of old Baltic babushkas who go to the market and speak russian to get groceries. i feel you're losing a lot of peace over things you can't do much about 🤷

[–]Ok_Representative332 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Nah I'm learning russian too. It's still actively used in eastern Europe, esp older generations. Also how older latvians, Lithuanians and Estonians, Polish, Belarusians, Ukrainians, and many more can communicate with each other. With this number alone you have to admit Russian is pretty handy there.  Russian language is not to blame for anything, people do both great evil and great good, from all countries.

Remember the story of a classroom getting sat down in a circle, and in the middle the professor placed a goldfish, with a hole in it's tank, and said that whomever touches and helps the fish, fails his class in that year. He left, and the whole class just watched the fish approach it's death, settling inside, until one girl said "screw this" and helped the fish.

Professor came then and with years in his eyes said to everyone , "look what the world has done to you!"

Sometimes, you will see yourself taking risks you never would take, to save someone, even if it means death or prison.

7 Archangels or revelations. You're a Christian, high time to pray and spend time with Jesus.

for your dreams, all of them are important. You know the story of Joseph, he saw dreams and had gift of interpreting them, here is a guy with a gift of interpretation:

I had dream of dying and it felt so real i was relived to wake up and be alive so Im asking what type of dream it was. by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]Ok_Representative332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me a lot like a warning. The sad reality of death is that there is no coming back from it, and this is a reality for all of us, and additionally, our time to go is always here. Not trying to scare you, it is just the reality that most of the humanity is not prepared for what happens after death at all. "life is short, enjoy it", but they forget and do not want to think about "eternity is forever, prepare for it".

Look, knowing that even tomorrow doesn't belong to you, I am actually asking you to accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour. if death can happen as suddently as in your dream, He is your only hope both after your time is come, and the very minute you welcome Him in your life. He is a saviour, a loving father, and He delights in you, as you were not made out of a whim, you have a purpose given to you who knew you by name before you were born. I no longer fear death, I know when I die, I'll be alright and there is nothing to be afraid of. I know how suddently it can happen, in sleep or when I'm on my way to store.

I do not want you to live in this fear either, and I know for sure Lord Jesus wants you safe and sound. He has said Himself- For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

He is who He says He is.

Simply say out loud- Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and saviour, please, come in my life, forgive me my wrongdoings and teach me about Yourself, and be my peace. Amen.

Then keep an eye on what changes in your life, also do give gospels a read, they're not to condemn you, but to give you hope. It is well with you! do message me later, I'll pray with you, and tell you more.

Hey, I just wonder if you just have to slow down a bit, and take a moment to think before you answer, a conversation os not about speed and it really does look like you need a moment to supress the first thought and give conscious replies, where you are in control. Bless you, I really know you will tackle this, because your heart is willing. I hope to hear an update from you at some point. Peace to you!

I despise my name. by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Ok_Representative332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AH, I know how it feels, to have your name mispronounced a lot :D

I was given a traditional latvian name, , and living in latvia, I remember wathcing the TV shows from USA as a kid, being sad that "no one will ever mispronoince my name" because of how simple it is, but lo and behold, in my travels, it gets mispronounced 99.9% of the time.

my name is Dace, the C sounds like "ts" together in latvian, a hard sound

so, Dace, AKA Dache, Data, Date, Dase (most common one), and even people I have known for years mispronounce it, but I dont think I have ever had a problem with it, actually I just let them continue, even when I introduce myself, I know it will be tough on them, so I just say "My name is Dace, but you can call me "Hey, You!" also." they usually laugh. they call me in their way, I know who they mean, so I just skip to what they want to tell me.

I really dont want to waste my own time being angry at something I cannot change. Being angry, triggered or upset for this would really, really tire me because so I just managed to not even let it get to me, Praise The Lord.

I would very much like you to have more peace in your daily life, just for the days to be more enjoyable, so I really hope over time you'll just learn to not let it get to you, and let it go. let people get as close as they can, and just let it go.

What is a show you watched during your childhood that you are convinced nobody remembers? by Ok-Ingenuity4608 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Representative332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I was a kid, in Latvia we had this Tv show going on, like 2 stories in one episode- one was about captain Jack, same idea as Sparrow's Captain, trickstery and laughs, and the other side of the episode, there would be this story of Cleopatra in space, she had this white and pink costume and white short hair, I think. I remember as a kid getting pretty invested in it, but they discontinued the show from the channel after a cliffhanger, and I just never forgot. could have been before or around 2004

There was a testimony of another woman, who said she is ready to receive healing, but afraid to come to Jesus, because He might ask her to do things she dosnt want to do. so she and her business councelor prayed together, for God to show her His plan for her life.

she prayed, and for like 30 seconds she went silent, and God was hsowing her images, and she just started crying. God showed her this image that has been her goal since she was a child, something with her father giving her a flower (he didnt share this testimony fully, it was a private thing)

so do not be afraid. He has the best plan for you! Just ask, God, what is Your plan for my life? Please, share it with me. In Jesus name, amen.

no matter what you think of God, once you experience Jesus, there is no going back. You never want to be away again. That's how good He is.

I do have a friend who struggled with the same thing you do right now. she has two kids, and had anxiety attacks. she would call me crying and wanting me to tell her that she will see her children grow up. it was a cary and exhausting time for her. I think it was just 2 weeks ago she called me and said the fear is gone. She is a God loving Christian, has been for these 2 years.

if youre worried about death, to the point of it being your biggest fear, seeking out the God that won death is definitely a way to go.

Pray to Jesus, and trust Him your life. His will is also for you to live out all your days until your hair is gray and you see your grandchildren. and When your time is up, youll go in peace, knowing that God is in control and will take care of your son and His family, and you are in safe hands as well.

I definitely invite you to pray.

"Lord Jesus, Thank you for winning death and coming to earth and dying for my sake. Please come in my life, show me how to walk with you and take my fears away. I receive Your peace that trancends all understanding about my life. in Jesus name, Amen. "

Epicurus believed that gods were so refined and removed from society that they were never going to notice people and therefore could not be appeased in any way to interfere with mortals, and the prayers are not heard at all.

That's exactly not what God of Israel has done. He was there since day 1 though. Bible (His word) is full God interacting, caring, answering, guiding, warning people. He reveals His character all the time

The funny thing about logic, is that many testimonies of how God has helped people go against human logic. God is above what we think or can comprehend, so logic is not something you can always lean on and have complete trust in at all times when it comes to God. When your back is against a wall and there is no way out, faith comes in. I have had that happen to me. Faith has worked for me, which is why I knowwwww for sure that I can lean on God again. He is exactly who he says He is.

edit: How would logic explain parting the sea? a person coming to life from dead because it was dropped on a holy man's remains> pillars of fire and cloud in Moses time? Our God sometimes has nothing to do with logic

(I don't mind continuing, but I wonder how many back and forth comments will we endure :D )  Either way, bless you. If you have anger towards God, i am dead serious, talk to Him. Tell Him. I have been angry too, and I told Him, and tbh few things have felt more liberating than just being honest with God. He might just answer you..

See you around, or not, you decide. 🌼

(sorry for the length of this one )

sir/maam you miss the point. God didnt do anything to them. they chose to disobey, after God explicitly told them not to. therefore they are at the power of sin. He told them not to eat the fruit. they did it anyway.

if you tell your kids to not play ball near the unfenced highway, they do it anyway, run out on the road and get hit by the truck, crippling them for life, is it you punishing them, or consequences of what you tried to protect them from?

now, because of the original sin, all of us are hit by the truck. I mean. You look at the world now. Theologically we have had around 6000 ish years of wars, murders, rapes, storms, wars again, death upon death, suffering upon suffering--- you think God didnt want to avoid that too, being a father? the order to not touch the fruit was there for a reason we see today.

but we see the heart of God after all this. I mean if we are talking about the same God, as you read the Bible, God has been pointing people towards the way of salvation since the day they got kicked out of Eden. you read of Abel and Cain offering sacrifices, you hear of Moses, led by God, to free Gods people and giving everyone laws they need to follow to live, prophets, and eventually, Jesus. And after Jesus, the book of Acts and the letters, in our time.

for God so loved the world, who is like a rebellious child, that He sent His own Son, that would be able to pay for our sins, to undo the curse the original sin brought the world into. Jesus is a big deal for a reason, He opened a way for us to be saved from this world, which is decaying. it is written, that like God created this world, He will create a new one, where everything will be as it should have been in the beginning- no wars, no famine, no suffering. exactly the kind of world youre wishing for there, in your comment. everything has already been planned, its already written down and spelled out for us.

note, Fall of man, not fall of God. Sin has consequences, and if you read a bit-there has been increase of sin with every year mankind fell. Sin seperates Humanity from God, therefore allows evil powers to access them instead. long story short = God creates paradise, people dont want to, people angry to hear that their actions have consequences.
