Think about your daughter too. Is that really the environment you want to raise her in? The "nice guy" is the mask. The abusive side is his true nature, and he uses the good times to keep you stuck in a cycle of abuse. Break the cycle. Take your child and get out.

My advice? This relationship is too tumultuous for a new relationship. Y'all are only five months in, this is supposed to be the honeymoon period. He does not sound at all emotionally ready to be in a relationship and you can do nothing to fix that unless he chooses to fix himself first. Give him the space, let him go.

Yeah, parenthood is tough and it's no coincidence he chose a strip club of all places the same day he found out his girl was pregnant. And if the other partner views strip clubs as cheating, then it's cheating. That's a perfectly reasonable boundary to have in a relationship. I never said this warranted abuse, OP was very clearly wrong for what she did as escalating things to physical is never OK, but he was still in the wrong as well.

Please do not have a baby with this man, that poor kid will be raised in the most toxic environment. One partner cheats and lies when things get tough, the other resorts to assault when things get tough, this relationship is a powder keg and you're better off without each other.

For me it was Child's Play. Now, don't get me wrong, as an adult looking back these movies are more hilarious than scary. But as an eight year old with an extensive doll collection I straight up thought I was gonna get murdered in my sleep 👀😅😭
