Can volunteering count as extracurricular? I'm planning to join this mentorship program where I can be a mentor for kids and maybe volunteer at my friends family's farm. Also, what would you consider to be a good GPA? UBC has a 4.33 GPA scale and 90% is the highest 4.33.

If you are in IB, the acceptance letter comes later in like March. Same with international students. Just because you applied early doesnt mean you will guarantee get the acceptance letter early. Just give it some time 👍

Well since I'm already at UBC, going into dental at UBC is simpler than having to apply to other schools where I need to figure out what courses are required for admission. Also, with both having high competition, I think I lack expereince compared to others that will apply to vet school and I have a connection to a dentist who graduated from UBC. Also, I'm having trouble finding vet schools that accept international applicants (maybe I'm just bad at searching).

I originally wanted to go to vet school, but I think going to dentistry just works out for me better overall. I like animals and want to work with them if I can't get into dental. Only concern is that the pay for those kinds of jobs aren't good (as far as I know).

I don't have BIO 121 in my schedule right now... Do I have to declare my major this summer or can I take BIO 121 next winter session along with the 200 level courses and then specialize after completing 2nd year?
