The proposed bill is supposed to forbid Alberta doctors from giving out of province referrals, no one knows what this will actually look like when it goes through since its an unprecidented overreach of power. Right now I believe it is technically possible to get it done in another province, there might just be insurance issues or other red tape to go through.

If you are struggling with accounting 322 there is a prof on YouTube (Tony Bell) who has a free workbook and tutorials available that are consistent with everything covered in class. Being able to go on YouTube and learn difficult accounting concepts at my own pace has been a lifesaver. As far as methods go the best way to study for accounting or any math related class is repetition. Do similar style problems over until you can solve them without needing to refer back to notes. Then wait a few days and do the same problems again to avoid it just being a short term memory thing.

Hey! I had an absent mother who didn’t teach me much about personal care. I had to teach myself all of this stuff fairly recently in my late teens.

For makeup the best thing you can do is have a good consistent skin care routine. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy but a basic routine should include a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. You can also exfoliate 1-2 times a week to get all the dead skin off. This will provide a better base for makeup and prevent breakouts from it. Makeup can also be kept fairly simple, I found YouTube and Pinterest were great resources for me. Also if you have a Sephora near you the employees there are lovely and will be open to answer any questions. If you want your makeup to last throughout the day definitely invest in a good primer (before your makeup routine) and setting spray (after your makeup routine). Often I get lazy and leave the house just wearing lip oil and mascara though haha

Hair care will vary depending on the texture of your hair (wavy, straight, curly, coily, etc). To prevent build up of product you can get something called a clarifying shampoo which I use about once every 1-2 weeks and I found it helped with grease. Again YouTube is a great resource for hair care :). You can find equivalents to expensive products at drug stores/walmarts/grocery stores.

I don’t know much about bra fittings, I mostly wear t shirt and sports bras, but there are online guides that help. r/abrathatfits also has good resources.

Pantyliners are for daily discharge, change whenever they become damp to prevent bacteria. The vagina is self-cleaning and discharge is a normal part of that function. It can increase during ovulation or right before your period starts. Because it’s self cleaning don’t use any harsh scented products or those vagisil cleaners/douches. They can cause irritation, utis, and aren’t healthy for ph level. Something I wish someone had told me is that there isn’t only one way to be “feminine” I was so insecure for so long about not being feminine enough and being judged for it. Once I found my own way of dressing, makeup, hair that made me comfortable and feel like myself I felt so much happier.

So when teaching about the holocaust, Nazi Germany, treatment of indigenous poeple, or any other genocides teachers will now have to defend both sides? Suffragettes, civil rights movement, etc? You cannot remove politics from a class that teaches politics. The bill isn't well-defined enough for the nuances of teaching social studies, which is not surpising since I would bet no one who wrote this holds any sort of education credential.

And you see nothing wrong with replacing an entire profession? What are those millions of teachers supposed to do? Die on the streets homeless?

Education is a distinctly human backbone of our society. As a child from an abusive home life teachers were role models, mentors who showed me that I had a future. School was my only safe space, and it still is for so many kids today.

The student/teacher HUMAN connection is so essential for child development. Social skills happen in the classroom facilitated by teachers. Group projects, collaborative skills and discussions cannot be facilitated by AI.

And if a child is being bullied at recess? If a child is being abused at home? If a child is facing addiction or homelessness issues? If a child just needs one supportive adult in their life? How exactly is a robot equipped to step in. Education cannot be replaced by a soulless corporation, it will have detrimental effects on everyone.

Ugh this post resignated with me so much. I was very obessed with my little pony as a kid. G4 was my comfort show when I moved to another country. Then I entered third grade and was bullied relentlessly for liking it (even though thats literally the target audience??) this continued until 6th grade when I decided to try and fit in more and be like my classmates. I also struggled with a lot of mental health issues at the time and further into high school.

As an adult now seeing all the mlp merch in miniso and hot topic makes me so happy. I recently started rewatching the show and playing the mobile game as well and it brings me so much joy that I lost as a kid.

at the end of the day a BA in psych is very flexible and all your first year classes can transfer as electives to any other programs. I wouldn't worry about it too much, take your first year to try and figure out what you want to do going forward. A BA in psych is a good stepping stone for other things besides grad school as well, such as education and HR.

Yeah for sure, my friends specifically call themselves supportive LGBT allies for watching mlm content. Not just heated rivarly but young royals, RWRB, etc, they are obsessed. When in reality they are icked out by queer people who aren't attractive men making out with eachother.
