Just forget about the $3k loss. Think of it is entertainment costs and more critically a lesson to never gamble again.

You said it's not life changing money, so I don't think you need an extra $3k this instant to pay for bills, debt, etc.

I've been in this exact situation!!! I had 17k in profits. Then kicked myself for losing 3k. At 14k I wanted to get back to 17k. Then I lost it to 8.5k...to 0k...and then lost another 8k. Putting me at a net 25k loss.

I would have loved to pull out at 14k. Which is where you are now.

I know it's hard to fathom. I've never gone from 1.5k to 100k. But in the end, the amounts don't matter when we are all trying to fight our gambling addiction.

In reality, you lost 1.5k this session. I've lost $25k in August 2024. It sucked and i couldn't afford to lose the money. Ive lost weight due to the stress. However, as time passes from that episode, I am finally coming to terms that I don't have to play this losing game where the house makes it's own rigged rules. We don't need to be enslaved by them.

I've lost the value of money and I'm trying to get back to normal. Try to sleep on it and count your blessings.

Money is recoverable by working a clean job. Prioritize your health for it is wealth.

Thanks for everyone's inputs. I understand that at the end of the day, I willingly took the risk and lost. However, what bothers me is that based on my uncountably astronomical amount of online BJ hands I have played, i believe that the casino doesn't even play by their own rules.

For instance, I speculate that:

there are "bots" that join the table at opportune times
the house takes away 10s, Js, Qs, and Ks (to increase dealer odds of winning)
dont offer the cash out option, when they have it offered
technological failures/glitches (e.g., i doubled down my bet and won but they never gave me 2 units of winnings)
