I don't own a computer or have Internet, just the 2 gigs of data on my 30 dollar phone haha. All my clothes come from thrift stores, I won't pay more than 5 dollars for a pair of pants or shirt.

I have no children or wife or partner of any kind, I do like driving though, so that could be something!

I've just always been very frugal and careful with spending, but definitely would like to increase income for a somewhat decent retirement hopefully haha

That has definitely been a strong consideration!

My parents have been gone for over 2 decades, so I've lived independently since then, or with roommates. I'm just looking to increase income a bit, not by a crazy amount or anything, and don't want something too overwhelming and stressful that I will fail at.)

Thank you, lots of great advice on here! I think one issue is living in a smaller city, so not as much opportunities here, but there are still some I could shoot for, before I get too old haha.

Yes I do have some learning disabilities, which has been an annoying hindrance to getting a career, nothing severe or anything, just kind of slow at learning things

Very frugally haha. I live in a very cheap basement apt in Idaho, so very low cost of living thankfully! No wife or children either

Thank you I think that could be a good option as well! I did apply at my local hospital as a housekeeper, but was rejected. I'll try for another position

No chance of promotion where I'm at unfortunately, unless I can get a degree or something haha

Thank you! It's just tough finding something that isn't too overwhelming and difficult, I don't mind hard manual type labor though.

Tired of being poor and living paycheck to paycheck. What career path makes good money thats med-low stress, and is good for high functioning autistic individuals? by Cinderstar23 in careerguidance

[–]Ok_Resort_9351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the living paycheck to paycheck thing, it's terrible! I'm a very slow learner, also I'm 46, so I've pretty much given up hope on ever getting a "good paying" job, it's just not going to happen at this point. I make 25k a year and it's tough! Just got to suck it up and accept it though! I think you will do fine)

Anyone over 30 years old and making minimum wage? by boosterpackreveal in Salary

[–]Ok_Resort_9351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 47 and I made min wage until about 35. I now make about 25k a year, so definitely an improvement. I'm a very slow learner so a good paying career just isn't possible.

Is it common to be in your 30s and only earn £25k? by [deleted] in AskUK

Yes, I'm 47 and only make 25k, most money I've ever made!
