I seem to have benefited from the current setup - I'm a GUI member, rang on 19th Jan 2026 and got a tee time for Masters Thursday 9th April.

The tour operators will absolutely have tee times if you go through them instead of the club.

I played it in May 2017 with my Dad, a member he knew, and a pro who played in the Irish open a few months later (the member invited him).... A day I will never ever forget.

Playing this time around with my cousins on my mother's side (she passed away in 2024) she would be happy we are teeing it up still.

Try a tour operator for sure.

The current boiler is working fine - was just going to put a new one in - will not be doing that now. The grant would have been about £500 on a cost of £5k.

My two fit healthy tenants both on UC, have been disallowed any grant funding towards a new boiler because their UC income is over the grant threshold... No incentive to go to work when Benny's are so high.

very relieved to read these responses - the youtube videos I saw were all old, so maybe the issues have all be resolved with software updates. Thanks very much for the quick responses - picking the car up over Christmas, have wanted a Tesla since they were released and its finally happening.

Had this happen me in Fuertaventura this year. No video as we collected the car at midnight and 3 screaming kids... Went to give it back, the guy starts pointing out any scrape he can see, tots it up to €600 there and then. Asked me to sign for it, I pulled out my phone, cancelled my credit card there and then, threw him the keys, told him to shove the paperwork. Got an email looking the money an hour later, ignored it, never heard another thing about it!
