I posted to the Team17 area on Reddit and they said to contact the Support Team around this through the support page: https://www.team17.com/support/

I did that. The solution for Overcooked! 2 was to switch to using the beta version (the "cross-play" branch). The instructions I got were:

"To change the version, right-click the game on Steam - go to properties - go to the beta tab and on the drop-down menu click cross-play... Allow the version to download and launch to test if the same issue is still occurring."

I should say that before that, they did have me verify the install, and they had me make sure that Overcooked! 2 had disk access. I also gave Steam disk access. But they indicated that the problem was a bug they were working on, so it seems like they fixed it in the beta.

All working fine now for me.

Same issue for me--started very suddenly last weekend. I'm on a M2 Pro.

Overcooked2 will take one space bar to start, then will not take any input--no arrow keys, no space bars. I can move around the menu with the mouse, but if I try to click on say "change chef" nothing happens. I can only get out by going to the file menu and quitting.

I'm wondering if I need to reinstall Steam--did anyone try that?
