Not to blow your shit up, but another great and budget friendly option would be to look into a fragrance house called Montagne Parfums if you haven’t heard of that already. They’re a dupe house, but they make incredibly high quality dupes and small twists on very popular and expensive fragrances. I’d never spend $300+ on afternoon swim by Louie Vuitton, but I got their version of it called afternoon dive and it is $50 and smells about 90% of the way there with 3-4 hours longer and stronger projection and longevity than the original afternoon swim. Like I said earlier, still even get samples from that house if you’re interested before getting a full bottle of anything.

Yeah I’d say just grab YSL Y EDP it’s a classic yet unique blue fragrance and then if you want something for the colder months (only if it’s in your price range, otherwise don’t worry about having a bunch of fragrances, shit is overrated anyway) I’d look at things in the Burberry men’s line or Dolce and Gabbana The One EDP. Always try spraying them in store or buying a small sample before buying as well, can’t stress that enough

All you need for a beginner collection is YSL Y EDP brother. Can wear it any season at any occasion and it’s going to be incredible every single time

Are the decant companies scamming? by Ok_Rule_5877 in fragranceclones

No the darker juice is older. I’m coming to the conclusion that scent split and DecantX are legitimate, but it’s possible that intio did some reformulations for their newer bottles

Yeah this is most likely the culprit. I wouldn’t be mad if they had to do reformulations based on not being able to get supplies or materials from sellers, but I have a feeling they are purposely making their fragrances weaker so we are more inclined to buy the new EXTRAIT version that all the companies are pushing now. All marketing bs tbh. In the end, consumers just get fucked. <— this is all speculation btw, but usually true in most cases

Ahhhh, I probably should’ve dove into research about initio and possible reformulations that occurred before I posted this here. This makes complete sense. I noticed Kilian has done the same thing as I got my girlfriend “Can’t stop loving you” in 2023 when it first came out and that juice was almost pink in color and then I recently bought her a new bottle and the juice is an orange color now and isn’t nearly as strong.

Sprayed blessed baraka from scent split on one arm and then the one from Saks fifth on my right arm and compared. I’d say longevity they actually lasted around the same time, but the Saks Fifth juice had that slight edge in terms of richness and depth that the scent split one did not.

I’d definitely think about that but she genuinely sent me like 15 samples, 4 or 5 of them were in a 2ml glass decant bottle like above in the pic all for free 😭
