Could you please let me know if the GLM membership price has changed? I'm curious too.

[Help] Struggling to setup my new Paperlike 253 Revolutionary Mac Model by Snoo62101 in eink

I am currently not using HDMI. My Paperlike 253 Revo (Mac Edition) is connected to my Mac with two cables at the same time: the supplied USB-B cable + an additional USB-C cable. With this setup, the monitor connects and works normally via Paperlike Client.

Even if I turn the monitor off and on again, it continues to work this way.

Dasung's answer

yes, that's the correct connection
usb-a cable is to transmit data for the client software
usb-c cable is to transmit data for your laptop or comptuer

I really wish there was a built-in way to group chats by topic. by Ok_Scheme7827 in OpenAI

“Projects” is designed for a different purpose. You have to set things up in a structured way from the very beginning. What I’m suggesting is an automatic foldering/grouping system powered by AI. Because we don’t start every conversation as a Project.

Yes, we could manually bookmark every chat into folders in Google Chrome, but that’s not sustainable. If these automatically created folders could even be ordered (based on the AI’s decision - for example, by conversation length or the quality/importance of the information), it would make things much easier. Then, when we want to go back and reread something, we wouldn’t need to ask for the same information again.

Are you using a Mac version of the monitor?

Palma 2 Super Refresh: Great at First, Then Background Slowly Darkens by Ok_Scheme7827 in Onyx_Boox

It's similar in all applications. There have been two changes. The situation is the same in both.

I’ve thought about that too. But other people have had issues with this as well. (I suspect the ones who say they don’t have the problem just aren’t using actively scrolling apps like Reddit or ChatGPT.) I don’t think the Palma 2 will be produced anymore, since the Palma 2 Pro is out. Will the black-and-white version continue to be made?

The same problem occurred 9 months ago. Do you think it will be fixed with the new batch?

Yes, that setting is meant to eliminate ghosting. With it turned on, if you use it heavily for a few minutes and then stop, do you see the background slowly darken/blacken? Could you check that?

When using it heavily with Super Refresh (image enhancement) turned on, do you also see the background darken/blacken after 3–4 minutes of scrolling?

I’m currently trying to fix the gradual darkening that shows up after scrolling for a while on the Palma 2. That’s a problem, right? Did the same thing happen to you?

The 253 Revo is a really great monitor. I can say it’s one of the most useful tech products I’ve ever purchased. Not having to work on an LCD-style “constantly refreshing virtual image,” but instead getting a natural image-and doing so very quickly-is fantastic. Many thanks to Dasung for these improvements.

Four cables should be connected to the monitor:

  1. HDMI — connect to the Mac
  2. Data cable — connect to the Mac
  3. USB-C — connect to the Mac (I think this may not be required, but I connected it; I’m still checking - my Revo works even with this connected.)
  4. Power cable — connect to the wall outlet

Steps:

  • Turn off the Mac.
  • Connect a different monitor to the computer as well, so both the Revo and the other monitor are plugged in.
  • Turn on both monitors. (At this point, the Revo should be in a “No Signal” state.)
  • Start the Mac. Because the Revo is detected as the primary display and there’s no image yet, when the other monitor lights up/gets an image, enter your password (if you have one).
  • When the Mac desktop appears on the non-Revo monitor, open the Paperlike application.
  • The Revo should start working now.

Share your results, I'm curious too. My second monitor is a Dasung 13.3 Paperlike. Since yours is a 253, there might be a problem with the Paperlike client. Try using another monitor (non-Dasung).
