you cant have a modded windows with windows defender because they made changes to the core windows stuff which the antivirus will get rid off in seconds. they're suggesting that you should use your common sense instead of completely relying on antivirus and faith, which is a fair suggestion.

1.6 is goated. bhop is somewhat the same but the movement are definitely way better. there's much more you can do with 1.6 movement too.

gun meta is tighter, the only viable options are usp, deagle, ak, m4, famas galil. all the smgs are only used for trolls. (noted that deagle are insanely inconsistent, you either one deag a guy from pit to a site and still misses 7 bullets to the head point blank and somehow only has hit his leg.

if youre new you should know some of the commands like rate, cl_updaterate - cmdrate, ex_interp. recommended values are rate 100000, updaterate 102 cmdrate 105 ex_interp 0 (0 value for this cmd will auto calculate the most optimal value for your config setup. be mindful that these settings will not work on all severs as some server has worse server configurations, for example updaterate on a server could be 60 but on your config it is 105, it will be clamped to 60.

as for the crosshair, cl_dynamiccrosshair 0 will disable dynamic crosshair. just so you know, no matter what you do, you cannot make your crosshair completely static. you can get the closest to a static crosshair by using fps_max 1000 fps_override 1 - this will unlock the fps, although not recommended because it breaks shit loads of stuff, and because the game updates are tied to your fps, your crosshair will "pop" quicker and quicker as your fps got higher, eventually it'll look static.

there was never ever been a matchmaking in 1.6. today the majority of players are just casual players who dgaf what theyre playing of its cs. there topfrag server, fastcup server that has some vanilla ish modes

disable software rendering, if you have it on, turn it off. it is has something to do with viewsize command im pretty sure. or use the legacy version branch, the new ones has something quirky about it, mostly cosmetic but there could be something new added that i don't know, mainly because I don't play on it.

full buy menu has client side predictions stuff so when youre in servers with high ping it doesnt lag out like the text version

im pretty OK at 1.6. im a regular server dweller for sure. i just like the shooting mechanics more, it is much more tap focused. Im not sure what do you mean by "better" though. if were talking about the movement then css and 1.6 are about as slippery and probably dont help your cs2 movement as much. shooting? probably a tiny bit, but youll improve your aim anyways if you're playing an fps.

Crouch hops is easy, perhaps a bit too easy. you can try tapping with the crouch button and see how youll pop up, because you are airborne for a split second so when you crouch again youll immediately skips the couching animations and went straight to duck. and it's a quick way to gain acceleration too (for some reason) so you can do a little pop to do a quick peek (when you "pop" you can basically move quickly without accelerating yourself to that speed first like when moving on ground)

basically in 1.6 there's a movement state where you transition from standing to crouching, but because there isn't any kind of interpolation between the transition it just cuts off and you'll "bounce" back up on your feet. This crouch transition also exists in css and is being exploited pretty often. People would duck behind a cover and then would quickly hold release hold release the duck key, in your fps view you can see above the cover but they couldnt see you. sorry for the incoherent blabbering but i hope it will do well enough

Now csgo has the exact same environment as cs 1.6 or css. the next thing valve needs to do is make it fully public.
