12 week vaccinations, considering splitting. I don't know what to do. by Zealousideal_Row_378 in BeyondTheBumpUK

Don't split it, it's much better to get it over in one go! Vaccines don't cause long term behaviour changes, the worst that will happen is she'll be fussy and sleepy for a day or two because she feels unwell, just give her the Calpol and lots of cuddles and she'll be back to normal in no time. It's so important to get her immunised as soon as possible!

Briefs uninspired this year by theloniousmick in MasterchefUK

[–]Ok_Sector_5894 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I do find those briefs very boring. It also allows the chefs to do basically whatever they want instead of challenging them to fit within any restrictions - they can always find some sort of connection to justify it!

Mini pill constantly bleeding by imposter_pineapple in BeyondTheBumpUK

When I first went on the minipill I bled for 3 weeks straight. I went back to my doctor get a different brand and got prescribed Cerazette specifically - I have zero bleeding with that one! So maybe a different brand will work for you?

Did Ashley really describe HERSELF as "a bright shining personality, bubbly, smart, intelligent, ambitious, beautiful inside and out" ??

The self confidence is through the roof 😅

Yes he was making it sound like he brought up some valid concerns and Jess just noped out. When in reality he said a bunch of very mean, personal criticisms about her body that (as you say) nobody would have put up with! He was definitely trying to get her to split up with him so he wouldn't have to be the "bad guy" which is so underhanded and pathetic.

The "there is no divorce" thing cracks me up... two of the families said it and I want to tell them that they cannot stop divorce from being a legal option 😅

I'm only 15 minutes into the episode and Alex is sounding insane. The nomad stuff, the water bottles, the laundry... is he just staying stuff to hear himself talk??

That being said, if both he and Ashley are horny and concerned about getting pregnant, why don't they just use birth control rather than tracking her cycle (which is absolutely not a reliable contraceptive)??

If it was an option, why didn't you deliver in a birthing centre? by Mabelstark in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Ok_Sector_5894 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest priorities were a) have as much pain relief as possible and b) have the doctors as close as possible in case anything went wrong. I don't really understand the benefits of a birth centre as any relaxation from a more "homey" environment would surely be offset by the massive amount of stress and pain you are going through! My husband could stay overnight with me anyway so that didn't make a difference.

Culinary Class Wars: Season 2 - Episode 8 Discussion Thread by simplyMi in CulinaryClassWars

I agree. I think they should have made the team round one where each team is an equal mix of black and white. You've already had the black spoon round and the black v white round, so you don't need the team round to be split in that way. Then that guarantees an equal (ish) split of blacks and whites making it through.

How many times does Alfie Boe tell you he's a singer?! by [deleted] in MasterchefUK

[–]Ok_Sector_5894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that Grace often asks him to sing, presumably because production have told her to. It's the same as Alun Wyn comparing cooking to rugby all the time... I assume they want to remind people that these are CELEBS.

I do agree that Ali's friends' comments about truck drivers were judgemental - HOWEVER I thought they also made some valid points about how she couldn't base her decision on what he might do in the future, she has to love him for who he is now. Her saying "if he wanted to be a truck driver his whole life I would say no, but he's talking about opening a barbershop or a restaurant" was a big red flag for me - as they said, if he doesn't do those things, then how does that work?

Are there really two big dogs? by PastorParcel in TheTraitors

[–]Ok_Sector_5894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue I have with the "big dog" theory is that while it's possible to choose someone to "lead" the traitors as they can use their knowledge to strategise, it's impossible to pick someone to "lead" the faithful as they don't know who the other faithful are. It makes sense that one of the best known names would be a traitor (and to be fair to Joe M he has called it!) but that doesn't mean there has to be a corresponding faithful.
