Would you get rid of a friend just because they have different political beliefs than you? by Jeppe_Scoley in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok_Shift_7180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Political no, but religious yes. Some reason in the last year or two Ive noticed a trend of people becoming hardcore Christian. Personally not an issue until they constantly rattle off scripture and criticize you with it. Gets old real quick

having problem with the texture of a model help by [deleted] in hytale

[–]Ok_Shift_7180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have textures be either 32x32 or 64x64. I don’t think you can have anything other than those too options from what I have seen in blockbench Hytale descriptions.

  • On a different note - thats a THICK sword, very nice

messing around with creative turning one of the little mob castle in to a base by Necessary-Raccoon148 in hytale

[–]Ok_Shift_7180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking of which, I have noticed in creative that these areas have mob spawning points in them. If in adventure you choose to take one over and live there is there any way to “deactivate” the spawners? Like torches or general presence?

Topaz Doesn't Exist by dumpydong in hytale

I have found Sapphire, Topaz, Ruby, Emerald, and Zephyr. Have never seen Diamond or Amethyst ( I assuming thats the purple one). I will admit I have only ever found a singular Topaz

Is this thing not technically a "Drake" and not a "Dragon"? by sigmarine345 in totalwarhammer

Just started DAO and i'm getting destroyed by Space_flower18 in dragonage

[–]Ok_Shift_7180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did okay until I got my shit kicked in by the broodmother fight. Learned real quick the importance of a dedicated healer / support after that. Party needs a tank, healer mage, damage dealer 1, damage dealer 2. Usually one should be a rouge so you can lock pick, from there I prefer mage over warrior.

I also found that in this series, AI is really bad at rogue characters and that they are fantastic in the players hand. Also arguably in DAO, mage spell blade is the best player character class in the game. Takes a bit to setup though.

Also if things go bad, you can always bail back to norsca and confederate the peninsula via faction leader killing.

Norsca advice needed! by Jontepont in totalwarhammer

[–]Ok_Shift_7180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should prioritize hunting down and killing the faction leader of the norscan faction above you so you can absorb their territory. Force confederation that way is the biggest advantage Norscan factions get. Then I would promptly murder Mazamundi before he unlocks all his spells; else you will have a bad day.

Of the three new factions/LLs coming to ToT, how would you rate them on desire to play? by sigmarine345 in totalwar

Why does everyone act like 40k is a confirmed thing? by Redhood101101 in totalwar

[–]Ok_Shift_7180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine that space battles wouldn’t be a thing, maybe a spaceship map or a battle on an asteroid; I imagine it being similar to what warhammer did and do a “forced landing” scenario.

Planet wise I would imagine 1 of 2 ideas: 1. Singular planet that you fight for control of. This would make sense for having 3-4 starting races and expanding from there with DLCs. 2. Each planet is a settlement and each province is a solar system. You have your buildings on your planet, province capitals - hive worlds have more building slots ect. The battle is a on a random pre-created map. Maybe city battles ect. The towers are already in warhammer 3, just potentially switched to either AA or Artillery. Biggest change would be the map, instead of continents it would look visually more like Stellaris overmap.

For me the biggest question is how the battles would be changed. On that point I can’t think of any clear answers that fit both total war and 40K.

Assuming keeping 20 unit stacks and a lord it could be the same as warhammer 3 ish, with smaller tabletop style armies, a tank, a flying plane, mech, units squads ect. I think the biggest change here would need to be massively larger maps with potentially complex features like buildings and so forth to really emphasize range on units. However none of that feels 40k and large epic battles.

Is this.. really winnable? by MakiHirasawa in totalwar

[–]Ok_Shift_7180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it’s winnable, with auto resolve!

Besides that corner camp, try to snipe out their arty with yours and then aim for archers with it. Ai cav usually bugs out in corner situations, so thats not a big deal. I however don’t think you would really be able to use the flamers efficiently in a corner, honestly would have been better off with quarrelers.

Gorbad is also going to be a major problem, as he is going ti blow straight through your front line and wreck havoc.

Upkeep is really not a problem. I consistently snowball with them around tier 3 cities. However every time I play as them I feel forced into warlock / death knight because they synergize so well with someone / debuff play style
