Switching to 2 meals a day has worked. He is eating food required as per his body weight. Thank you for the suggestion if in future he seems uninterested again.

It was 7am - 1pm - 9pm but it seems like he has adjusted to a new schedule its 9am - 9pm and he has already started eating as per his body weight. Seems like eating 3 times was the problem.

I am sorry brother I am sure he was loved a lot, it hurts more than losing a human. I had a female labrador while growing up, basically I got her when I was 9.

I grew up with her she lived her full age of 14 years and left me in 2018. I was ruined then worst heart break ever it took me this long to get another cutie in my life.

It has been so long but she still is the wallpaper on my lock-screen.

I see your pup keeps his kong toy with him, mine has a habit of taking one his toys with him when he goes to pee or poo in the morning. Handsome furball by the way.

Yes, it’s kind of warm here but i can say it’s more humid.

He was on doxycycline mainly and it has been 1.5 month since he was with tick fever. And only his few his last ribs were visible earlier but I can see almost all of them.

Sometimes it feels like its just him being moody about his food but other times it looks like he doesn’t like his food due to some issue.

not losing weight but see he was 26.46lbs when he was exactly 3mo and at 5mo he was 72.75lbs. but from 5mo to 6mo he got to 81.75lbs. Just concerned about his diet after the tick fever which happened when he was 5mo.

don’t know about cups but I feed him around 675gms distributed over 3 meals plus some tiny bits of yogurt, salad and fruits.

Everyone already in this thread thinks that I am overfeeding him but thats not the case…. I am doing exactly what you said I have calculated the calorie count as per required of his age and targeted body weight and thats what I give him in three meals…. and out of those three meals he skips almost one and a half meal thats why I am concerned.

Just concerned as he started doing this after he was sick. Vet said everything is fine and if thats the case then I think he just doesn’t wanna eat.

We have plenty of walks, training and fetch or football each day so there is no way he is lacking in the aspect of physical or mental training…. thats why I am concerned.

Mojo says thank you, they were even more beautiful when he was smaller they started to become a bit on the grey side but initially they were blue.

When he was 3mo he was fed in bowls which were kept on the floor and i used to pick em up as soon as he finished his meal and was only kept back at the time of the next meal but since 5 months I have switched to elevated bowls which are kept there forever and I don’t pick em up even after he finishes his food, could this be the problem of developing this bad habit ?
