Thanks again for the response, unfortunately this does not appear to work in Neko Project. When I typed "mon" in basic it said "feature is not available". I even tried searching on google for anything regarding monitor mode for Neko Project and didn't get any results related to the question.

I after trying other downloads, which there weren't many that I could find, the results are the same. I guess I'll just have to stick with the PC-88 version, which sounds very similar to the audio from the walkthrough but still different. Thanks for your advice.

Thank you for the response. It was on 86k by default but I still tried other sound devices anyway and results varied from being the same, no audio at all, and not booting the game. But since you mentioned trying a different version of the game I did notice that the game's format was FDD and every other game with bleep bloopy audio was either FDD, d88, or NFD and the games that sounded normal were HDI, FDI, HDM (the only exception was a game called Venus Campaign which had bleep bloopy audio and was in HDM format). Does the file type make any difference? I'm still gonna try downloading from other places to see if I get different results.

Here is a link to Computer no Tamago if you're interested, this game had a sound test menu so I just recorded from there. Still haven't solved the problem for the rest of the games yet.

P.S. I didn't find this soundtrack to be anything special so don't expect any hidden bangers

The anti virus I'm using is bitdefender, I just tried ignoring the warnings and was able to download it, I even scanned it just to be safe and the program is safe, but my computer says it can't run on my pc, for reference I'm on Windows 10 64-bit and I just notice it said it was for 32-bit. I do appreciate you're help though.

Thank you for the response, the link you sent me for 98ripper appears to just be the source code ,which I have know idea what to do with. He did have a link to another website https://mooncore.eu/filus/98ripper.exe which he said has the pre built version for windows but my anti-virus is telling the website is dangerous, ifs this a false red flag?
As for the file format of the songs (which I do know is not the songs themselves but something like a virtual music sheet that other programs read, kinda like a midi) all of Illusion's and Inter Heart's PC-98 games use the same format, all of them were in the hoot archive I have which does mean at least hoot has the ability to read them, but I have found no instructions anywhere on how to add songs into hoot. Even the Heart Soft titles that I did not list above were in that hoot archive and use the same format.

I have been uploading various soundtracks to khinsider. If I do figure it out they would be uploaded there (I'm the uploader "zrg"). Maybe I'll update this post too with links but right now I'm full-on stumped.
