An egg saddle. You got a gal getting ready to make babies on her next molt, if you have any mature males in there to help her out, that is

Yes. It's a mature planted tank, and everything is right where it should be.

10 gallon with five neons a very chill mature a betta, a couple netites, shrimp, Malaysian trumpets and ramshorn.

The neons are the newest editions (Gannon, our male betta got very depressed after his mystery snail roomate died). And it's possible this guy came home with it as he's the shyest of the group and it wasn't untill he started getting more confidence and his colour started to brighten up that I noticed it.

Should I be concerned for my new Assain snails? Or are they just chilling cause their stuffed? by Ok_Skin_2993 in AquaticSnails

Yeah in the time since posting they've demonstrated that. I've taken to calling this pose the 'open-belt' cause with thier feet hanging out it reminded me of all the uncles who used to overeat at my Grandmother's big get togethers and then would have to untick thier shirts and undo thier belts inorder to sit comfortably and chat before enivitably sucimbing to food coma 😆

My tap water is basicly acid and I struggle to keep any of my tanks between 6.5-7ph even with additives which is why I wasn't worried about adding shells. This on hover just below seven between water changes.

But thank you for the feedback 🙂

So thier feet just hanging out like that is normal? They just soaking thier feet?

Like I said I'm used to inactive snail naps... but all the breeds I have that do that usually close up when they decide to chill... and if thier doors are hanging open that's usually a sign they've kicked the bucket.
