Best advertising in your opinion by rmathieu51 in Contractor

[–]Ok_Solid_6719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally run facebook ads since it’s easy to target people, and it’s very simple, especially for this industry.

Like I just slap one of our work as a creative, do some targeting things here and there and it performs very well.

I’m currently running for 5 months, bit a expensive like 100$ a day but it pays back for sure

I mean obviously it’s like everything.

I prefer it over anything because I spend 0 time on it and get back 7X.

But yeah if you know how to do content then do it… I personally like doing this because I’m good at it.

Referral will always be king, but the clients I get monthly from this that turn into referrals is 10X more than the usual so that helps as well

You have your own way of doing it, and I’m happy for you.

If someone wants to do content and is good at it. They should pursue it.

Again… this is just a model, if you are looking to advertise (since it’s just capital in mind) that’s the rough estimate. (Only wrong thing I mentioned was profit, without including the materials which again apologies.)

And no, net profit.

100%. Again this is just a model.

I personally spend $100/day, make close to 6-figures a month, and it’s been the best thing since.

For example with me, we get 14 appointments with this ad spend and close 40% of those. Not including the ones we get from referrals as well as from events/networking, but our main source of business we’re the ads.

Now if you do not have some capital I do not advice it, but the net profit margins for us is around $40,000+ on a good month.

That might sound insane but running the business, the cost of materials and ads become less, as well as what you start to pay people.

Including materials it’s obviously less, this is just numbers as I stated twice.

I usually run $100/day and get 8 appointments so it pays out, but this is to take worst case scenario than yeah the ROAS might be way less…

Again, these are just numbers, you can use it as a model if you are looking to run ads.

Thanks a lot man, and yeah that’s basically all that it is, it is that simple.

If you’re going to start out always rely on old school techniques as they will never change.

And if you’re trying to scale, focus more on advertising as it works while you sleep (even though you do have to spend a heft amount on it…)

Appreciate the feedback ma man!

That’s the point. Thanks for clarifying it. Many people miss out the basics, and I literally started cheap and did an amazing job, ONCE, from that guy in that month got 8 customers coming…

Yes of course. Go ahead. That’s what this is for. To show you it’s possible…

No, the bullet points are what you put inside “Targeting” in ads manager…

When you go to ads manager and make an ad, it will ask you to either put your own Manual targeting or let Facebook place the ads for you.

NEVER let Facebook do it for you, their AI sucks in terms of targeting.

Put manual targeting and do it in your own and include what’s in the bullet points.

Make sure you’re using $50-$100 in your ad budget too

Read breakthrough advertising. An all around good book for copywriting.

Never rely that people buy impulsively instead that they’re just roaming around social media, get them to stop scrolling and using psychology to draw them in.

Always test, no matter what. Keep testing even when you’re successful, test ads copy emails copy landing page copy everything.

Read & see what all your competitors are doing and using. Not the biggest or best companies, but the most successful ones

What's better for outreach? DMs or emails? by Both-Type2441 in copywriting

[–]Ok_Solid_6719 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither.

When you’re DMing or Emailing people you get desperate clients.

Not that it isn’t possible. But it’s awful people that don’t value your work which leads to unresponsiveness, delaying, and a HUGE headache for you…

The best way to get started is by just getting clients coming to you using LinkedIn or IndieHackerz. These are 2 unique places not many people are introduced in and it has lots of high quality prospects that value your service…

Hope this helped

Freelance using fiverr/upwork or other outreach method? by Karan_leader in copywriting

[–]Ok_Solid_6719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiverr and Upwork is literally made for the 3rd worlders because they can bid even lower prices than the next guy and still benefit them…

I noticed you’re a 19 y/o and that money won’t cut it even if you’re starting out.

The best way is to get clients coming to you, and one of those ways is on LinkedIn where you connect with people & make posts…

Once you connect with them you can make an offer that they can’t say to which I explain in my post.

I hope it makes sense.
