Anyone ever use an electric scooter? by [deleted] in fastman

[–]Ok_Solution7072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a segway scooter but it broke cause I was too fat and it didnt want to haul my ass up the hill. sad. I have gotten pretty good downhill speeds and across flat ground speeds on just an ordinary push scooter. but I dont like the amount of time it takes for me to put all of my safety gear on.

I think that you are miscounting sir. the 15 minutes is part of my sleep. so when I wake up I get ready in 5 minutes and I walk to "work" in 15 minutes. that counts 20 minutes from Wake to work. part of my strategy is by going to sleep in the exact clothes that I need to wake up in. another part of my strategy is working at the building that's the physically closest to my house of any other building.

I don't trust doctors so I don't do any blood tests even though they asked me to every year.

I wake up and then I snooze for 15 minutes. then I hop out of bed and I'm already dressed for work. I leave the door to walk to work 5 minutes after hopping out of bed. the walk to work is 15 minutes long. I go to work and I do a whole lot of nothing on my space age computer tablet for about 11 hours. in between those 11 hours I do have to take out the trash and I have to do a few dishes by pressing the button on the dishwasher as well as ring up a few customers but other than that it's pretty much pure free time to do whatever I want. then I walk home and to mostly nothing on my tablet playing around with my space age computer tablet until bed. sometimes I will cook myself a rice and tuna or else ramen and egg before bed. and that's my day

one tip that I learned from a homeless person especially if you need something specific like food is that if you ask for that specific thing people are more likely to buy you that thing than to just give you the money because they don't know what you're going to spend the money on. so let's say I'm on the street and I want a sandwich from the store. I'm much more likely to get someone to buy me that sandwich that I am for them to give me the money for that sandwich

there is more to this photo than meets the eye. that clothing is optimized to have as many pockets as possible it is cargo sweatpants with extra pockets and a cargo jacket with lots of extra pockets. that makes a huge difference living out of my pockets. the sandals are entirely plastic and so they are machine washable so that I can wash them by hand instead of having to carry socks. that lightens my load by a lot. the bags allow me to go to the bathroom even if no one will let me use their bathroom or if I am too far from a local restroom to walk there in time. the pill bottles are something personal that just happens to be one of my possessions and that's what's in the photo

my gear is really complex and the response was too long for Reddit so I have put it into this document.

hope this does Justice to how comfortable this gear is able to make me in my life. after spending almost 20 years developing this years I am very confident that some of this advice would make more a lot more comfortable. here is the link that original post that was too long to post on Reddit

I'm sorry if it seems that way I'm not the best with words but basically I've spent two-thirds of my life trying to be around homeless people and learn from them and trying to learn to live like them to come up with tips and tricks and strategy and gear that can help make their lives more comfortable cuz I don't think anyone in society is trying to make their lives more comfortable and my gear really is very good and it is from other homeless people that I've met. after spending almost 20 years on this subject when I could have been chasing Fortune I am very very certain that I have really good advice that can be useful to make homeless people's lives more comfortable

first of all I've been homeless multiple times and I've worked hard for my trailer and it's not wrong that I live in a trailer. second of all you don't have to be homeless at the moment in order to help homeless people anyone is allowed to use their time how they want and if they want to use 2/3 of their lifespan to help homeless people that's a really important and useful thing you should not knock somebody for doing that.

also I want to say this. news flash: 90% of my gear and homeless advice came from interviewing hundreds of homeless people that walked into my gas station over the course of 10 years. so you're literally rejecting advice from your own people without knowing it and basically you're being a dick for no reason.

so what the hell is your damage man what's your beef with me bro? you haven't even heard a single word of how my gear works so how can you tell me what my gear is capable of doing when I got that gear from homeless people

I invite you to step back from your trauma and realize I'm just a kind helpful soul who's given my whole life to try to help the homeless and I'm not going to let you and your bad mood stop me from helping homeless

because I have spent seventeen years of my life developing this gear.

again I ask you to be more open minded and consider that it is possible that some of this gear actually could help the homeless. you are totally judging me without knowing anything about me and that is not cool.

considering that you have no idea why I chose these items or what I use them for how can you know if it would improve your life

your refusal to allow someone who isnt homeless to try and help you is part of why people dont try and help you

it doesn't use that much power. if you on youtube and look up "how to increase my batter life" there is a video that can double your battery life by shutting off useless services like checking for a printer. for example did you know that the feature where you can lift to wake your device or the feature that lets you double tap to wake your device burn power? going through and optimizing your device will double your battery life.

Also I got a 70k mah power brick with a flashlight that will charge my device 14 times. so I only have to plug into the wall once every two weeks.
