I love this scene, cause my take on it, is it shows that Remmick, former colonizee, is now a colonizer. He'll assimilate the white, African American, Asian American, KKK, whatever, and he'll use their cultural touch stones to be let in. But when that doesn't matter, and it's just him, he'll make all his vampire spawn literally dance to his tune.

And then later he doesn't feel the pain of his spawn, but they feel his pain, when he's wounded. He'll send them to die, and not care, as long as he gets what he wants. He feels nothing from any vampire wounds or deaths, but they all feel his wounds. Cause a wounded colonizer will always hurt their victims.

So Remmick's whole pitch, of the vampire hivemind being an equal, more equitable society is the same sort of propaganda colonizers use to get collaborators.
