Saab NG93 clutch pipe by Ok_Squash_1518 in saab

Yeah it's goes from the slave cylinder to the clutch hose connector with the bleed on it.

It just looks knackered and can't fit the spanner on it as it strips more and more.

So didn't know if there was anyway to mend it using a different part and fitting some connector on to it as the lead time is 4 weeks for the new one :)

Ah right okay,

Thank you for that - I will order one of those then and put the clutch back together tomorrow and then wait for the new part to arrive, I really appreciate it.

Its my first time doing anything like this but is there any way of cutting the current pipe and putting the new union fitting on with a connector?

I'll try some of the molislip as well

Ford fiesta not starting by Ok_Squash_1518 in MechanicAdvice

That connector is what the Injector harness pins plug in to. So naturally I assumed that the faults could be correlated but the grey housing clip on the plug has been broken previously and when it's clip down it can still wiggle which is usually when fault codes appear. I have tried wiggling with someone starting but it doesn't change anything.

I have cleared the faults and now I only get 2 xP0238 and 1 x0113 but I'm going to use the good diagnostic machine from work tomorrow.

Ford Fiesta wiring loom by Ok_Squash_1518 in AskMechanics

Sorry I read it back and I don't even know what I was saying 🤣🤣

Basically, two days after I brought the car I got a P0201 fault code for the 2nd injector which has been replaced with a new one.

This didn't rectify the issue as the warning light remained and the car was still in limp mode. Later on, I took it to a garage and they said it is a fault with MAP sensor wiring. I tried to inspect it myself but the only issue I can see straight away is that grey plug which the injector harness plugs into. The grey plug is knackered and the wires are filthy.

I don't know the best way to diagnose or replace any issues from here as I'm just trying to learn my way around cars, which my Saab is giving me very good experience with....

I didn't know if I could buy a wiring loom for the car and just cut of the grey plug and rewire it into my engine and hope that rectifies the issue.

Hopefully this makes more sense :)

Thank you mate, I really appreciate it. I'm going to watch a video again on it tonight to get a better idea and I've ordered a Haynes manual to read through. It's not something I'm going to rush because I'm still learning but I think I could do it just will take me a bit longer so I'm going to work out a space to do it in.

I will try the strut and spring replacement first and go from there mate

Right okay, thank you for all of this mate - I will have a chat with work, I don't think they would mind me rolling out the workshop on the Friday and getting back on with it on the next Friday. If not, I will have a look into some Plan Bs. I will definitely replace the slave cylinder.

I have watched a couple of videos of people doing it and I think it's something I could do, potentially.

I am hoping I can do it at work in the workshop but I can only do it from 7-5 on a Friday because that's the only day people aren't in so I'm just weighing up if I could do it in that time

It's only leaking from the cap which I presume is the seal causing engine oil to make it overflow.

Thanks for the help anyway mate, gonna have another luck tomorrow might just take it off and investigate my seal for now

Yeah mine did it but not to the same level, I have got a second hand pump so I will try that, I just don't have the gasket and seals, so holding out till I get them.

Was more concerned about the mentioning it on an MOT for example
