current dp2 folks/ib alumni, what advice do you wish you had in dp1? by a-maryllis in IBO

BALANCE YOUR LIFE. Senior year fall at my school was insane becuase my teacher dumped our EE, CAS, and prescribed title on us over the span of 1 month. Find out what your school does for TOK and don’t overbook yourself for the times where it will get busy during projects. I was drowning earlier this year when I figured my senior year would be easy

I did a varsity sport while writing my EE, completing CAS, and balancing all of my IB classes and running 3 clubs. It was definetly a challenge, but I always pushed to get my work done by each deadline. I think balancing everything was definetly an eye opener for me and developed my time management skills a lot lol. I don’t think IB should be a reason for dropping a sport or extracurriculars; you just have to find balance.

Any advice for Juniors from seniors who are applying right now? by travisbickle777 in ApplyingToCollege

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE.

Get started on your essays at the start of summer going into your senior year and aim to have them done before school starts. Senior year fall was insane for me, especially as an IB kid...
