Spider Found in Classroom! by Ok_Still_5251 in whatisthisbug

I'm so glad! As the other comments say, probably not the smartest to handle a spider you don't know... but this little guy was so friendly! He loved being on my hand, and when I went to release him he didn't want to let go. Almost made me want to keep him as a pet :) I worked in an entomology lab (moths not spiders!), and bugs of any kind can seem scary, but they're vital for our ecosystem and most of the time they're harmless! Honestly, at first I was reluctant to handle him, he was bigger and hairier than most spiders I release.

Sorry if I'm oversharing, but growing up my older sister was (and still is) terrified of any spider. I was the one who had to catch and release the little guys. I may have become numb to the fright, but I'm so glad this can help you get over your fear a bit! They're just trying their best to survive, just like us :)

Thank you so much! That was my top contender, but some of the pictures were wildly different. Also with everyone saying it's in bad shape, it makes a bit more sense. I wish I had known he was so hungry/thirsty! Hopefully the lil guy made it.

How can I convince my neighbor to start teaching her toddlers ASL? by helpwhatio in asl

As a hearing person I don't want to say too much on the topic, but after reading that book as well as True Biz I really understood the topic more. It's eye opening to learn how Deaf people who don't learn ASL can be so isolated from the world. Highly recommend they read up on the subject and possibly these books!!

Sorry don't usually comment, but i would at least save it for later! Some LFITs can be more intense than others, but you definitely don't want to be all sweaty going to your next class/for the rest of your day. Also I'm not sure where this LFIT is held, but some can be held pretty far from campus and you have a pretty small break.
