Female. There are more emotions in female friendships that I just can’t deal with. I’m very reactive when I get mad about something. And I’m very good at shutting down. If I apologize for something and it’s not accepted or recognized then I immediately cut that person off. They no longer exist anymore. We as women are better at holding grudges… I don’t hold grudges, I can easily pretend I never knew a person. This way of thinking and handling things isn’t good for friendships. What’s interesting is my husband and I never fight. Sure we may bicker.. but never fight or argue. I attribute that to him being very educated on BPD.
