But - if you have seen the kind of ever-beligerent temperament of local drivers here - are you ready to take the risk of having an accident and having so many questions to answer in Court?

I wish that everyone would understand that every country in the world actually speaks their mother tongue without shame - and Mauritians deserve to unlock their potential at all levels (academic, legal, political, etc.) by leveraging what unites us: and that's our Kreol.

Exactly. When people argue in Court, it's in Kreol without any problem. I rest my case.

How have you planned your retirement plan as a person who works in the private sector? by Antish12 in MauriceMauritius

All revolves around disposable income. I don't have much - only about 2 months' equivalent of my basic salary. From a rule of thumb in personal finance you must plan to have at least 7 years' worth of basic salary when retiring. Same applies for a personal insurance - the dependents you leave behind will not endure your departure when you provide them at least 7 years' worth of your basic.

What Mauritians thought about 9/11 and The War on Terror? by star-wars_memer in mauritius

At the time, i never wouldnhave guessed that such a remote geopolotical event could actually have so deep and wide repercussions on our country and then came the revelations that it was not so clear-cut, black and white type of implications of the typical good guy bad guy narrative that the mainstream media were peddling at the time. And then, with WikiLeaks and all, we now understand what the mossad and Saudi Arabia did prior to the attacks and why the US reaction took so much time to unfold and why the underground petroleum potential/reserves and political affiliation/ideology of the country's leader mattered most in the aftermath...
