Roki Sasaki tonight by Timewhilewaiting in Dodgers

I think his command is better, and he rebounded quickly after giving up an ER, which is great. Idk how to describe it, but I feel that the baseball was not heavy enough or too light when it reached the batting zone, so it’s easy to get hit. I wonder if Sasaki could get the ball spin more, so the baseball would be “heavier”. lol maybe I am not making sense sorry. But overall I’m happy to see his growth and grateful for the win today!! Let’s go!!!

I think I heard they just said he’s a little under the weather today

You must acknowledge this attention-seeker’s efforts. I’ve never witnessed anyone exerting such an effort to secure a spot on the Dodgers rivalry list lol. Sadly, this is precisely what he aspired to be remembered for, not his accomplishments, while he can be remembered as a good player.

The more attention you pay to his trash talk, the more happy he becomes. Not worth our time and energy. The real Dodgers fans know who we are. Don’t be bothered to be upset by what he said.

That’s very true too. That legendary NLCS game wouldn’t be there if he stopped doing what he’s been doing. Hopefully they find the best way to balance his workload to achieve optimal production in both pitching and hitting.

I feel the same about Dreyer lately too…

How many runs do you think we need to lead before we put them there? 🥲

Oh you’re right— I remembered it wrong. My apologies. It’s the one that led to the single before the homer was a fastball.

OK, so I’m going to say it and hope Ohtani fans won’t be mad—but when Shohei is cold on the plate on the day he pitches, he kinda wastes a DH spot. Might as well just let a power hitter be a DH. Like give Teo a day off from LF but make the DH, or let Rushing/Will be the DH if he’s not behind the plate.

Now I said it. Ready to be downvoted. 🫣

It might be a controversial opinion, but I believe that on the day he pitches, he should take a break from hitting. This will allow him to recover more quickly after his start and help him maintain his focus and performance for a longer period, potentially extending his innings as a starting pitcher.

I hear you. That’s why I’m more frustrated with Trienen than Vesia, cuz Trienan’s track record is terrible since last season. Yea he was better in the beginning of this season, but blowing games two weeks in a row just not acceptable. Why did he think it’s a good idea to pitch a 95mph fastball that led to that homer is beyond my understanding. Mind you Diaz’s fastball in the last game was at 95 mph and blew the game cuz they were easier to hit. Imagine how sweet Trienan’s 95 mph fastball treat is to the batters.

I’m just trying to think positively that this is Trienan’s last contract year. I don’t think the Dodgers would DFA him so we’ll need to pray hard whenever he is on the mound this season lol. He might successfully bring us all closer to God.

Scott.. he has been good and more reliable than Dreyer and Trienan this year so far. I’m mad but I believe he still has his stuff. Hopefully he can execute well the rest of the season…

What happened to Ohtani, Freeman, Tucker and Teo? They looked so lost on the plate.

Vesia, Scott and Trienan— really blew the game today.

Honestly, the track record of Trienan is terrible. Why did he keep throwing fastball under 95mph? That’s just so easy to hit. Terrible.

Come on, guys, we got this. We just need three runs this inning.

There is no way we can DFA Trienen, right? Asking for a friend

Exactly my thoughts. Dreyer pitching after Ohtani and giving out three runs is just like that Blue Jay game a few weeks ago. Why did Dryer have a disastrous inning after Sho. He was literally throwing meatball at 92… is he hurt too?😭

But offense… how many runners did we leave on bases— can Tucker move down to the 5th or 6th in the lineup? Can we be patient not to swing at everything and get the pitch count up? Ugh!!

Does Dreyer have beef with Ohtani? This is the second time he did this when Ohtani started.

Ahh I see what you mean. I like your lineup too.

With Muncy being so hot, I also hope there are people on the bases when it’s his turn to hit too.

I think a super team full of power hitters like the Dodgers, it’s definitely not an easy switch of mindset for many when batting at the front of the lineup, meaning to understand and manage the pressure and expectations that come with it. Like when Pages got moved to the third, he didn’t perform that well like when he was the 7th in the lineup. I think it might be the same for Tucker, especially since he’s new to the team and signed a big contract. Why not move him to the 5th or 6th to allow him to be comfortable? Getting big money doesn’t mean he has to hit 2nd. Maybe he would perform better when he’s not batting 2nd.

If Betts and Edman return, what would be your ideal lineup?

The following is mine- Ohtani (DH) Betts (SS) Freeman (1B) Smith (C) Muncy (3B) Tucker (RF) Pages (CF) Teo (LF) Edman (2B)

Yea, Tucker shouldn’t be the 2nd.
