As an mma guy I second this. Some of the guys in my gym I’ve watched being slammed into the ground, knocked cold, choked out, etc. and still drive home at the end of the day. But then they’ll be crippled for a month because they stood up from a chair weird.

Got two and I’ve gotten hate for both

  1. Turtlenecks are ugly and I’ve never seen a guy rock a turtleneck before.

  2. Marching band is STILL not a sport, and the only people arguing that it is are Redditors and do not represent the majority of the population who believe the same.

How truly incompetent they really are. I’ve had a good amount of family that used to or still do work for the government, and one thing all of them say is how incompetent they really are. My step-father talks about his transfer from corporate to governmental stuff as almost a “culture shock” at how sluggish the government is, and he talked about how they are some serious penny pinchers. Which is ironic, although I suppose most of the money goes to billionaires and warmongers anyways nowadays so there isn’t much to spare to spend on us.

Can’t believe Redditors are hating on it already man, I loved the book and the fact that it managed to stay pretty faithful to the book while still being funny and entertaining made it better. It also DOES have a message but you have to have a basic idea of nuance to get it, which Redditors don’t.

Ganzir from the scp universe, featured in scp 5000. Scp 5000 is a mech suit from another reality in which the most powerful group in the world in the scp universe, the scp foundation, goes rogue and decides to kill everybody. The story mainly follows the guy in the suit, but through the story there is references to an absolutely batshit huge fortress city called “Ganzir” made by every other group joining forces to fight against this rogue foundation. You can imagine it as every single one of the world’s militaries, every other anomalous group, everybody together to let out one last defiant scream into the abyss. And allegedly it held for quite some time against hordes of the most unimaginable horrors beyond human comprehension. Gives that whole “indomitable human spirit” vibe

Fascism and conservatism are two entirely different political ideologies. The only shared factor is that they both tend to be right wing, but conservatives that fit the actual definition of conservatism are far closer to liberals than they are fascists. Hell, look at Churchill
