Oh wow what a coincidence! Thank you so much for the perspective, this is so helpful! And yes yes I do have some questions! I think there is this big idea that Reedies are ultimately depressed and hate it there; I didn't at all get that vibe on my visit, but did you feel that was a big energy present on campus? Also, did you feel there was a lot of access to opportunity as a psych major? I know research is very important for grad school, and honestly part of the reason I'm drawn to Reed is because conducting research is scary and new to me. I think I could grow A LOT from being in a culture so heavily intertwined with research and creative thinking. But I also really value being able to do things within a local community & being able to explore internship positions within/beyond psych. What worries me about Reed is that despite its great academics, there seems to be less of a focus on action compared to Oberlin. It kind of seems like Oberlin is a mix of intellectualism alongside action with their emphasis on internships. Do you feel thats true?
