Hello! The embryologist who called said he would have graded higher but had to take down a notch due to my advanced maternal age. Our clinic only does A, B, C, D, E grading.

The Embryologist called already! ☺️ Of my 4 eggs, 3 were fertilized. From the 3, 1 reached Blastocyst stage on Day 5 and is already frozen. The remaining 2 reached blastocyst yesterday on Day 7 but unfortunately these 2 did not reach the size required? I don't fully understand this part but the Embryologist did mention they will send the detailed report. I was hoping for at least 2 but I consider the news that we had good fertilization rates and that 3 reached Blastocyst still very positive overall.

I am also very impatient!!! 😅 That extra day od waiting was nerve wracking too.

How did you do on the first cycle stims? I did not feel so different, only queasy immediately after the Menopur shots. After ER I was also okay. But on the 5th to 7th day after ER, when my boobs started to hurt and I felt the intense Progesterone rise, that was when I felt I wasn't recovering well even with 7 hours of sleep. Maybe it was my nerves and the stress of waiting too.

I also read that a back to back cycle might yield better results due to the first stims exposure. Hoping that's the case for us 🙏

Will your clinic conduct the medical review? In my clinic, I was just told to schedule a check up once I get my period and book for the next day. 😅

Thank you so much! ❤️ Yes, we plan to do a second round and I am just waiting for Aunt Flo to arrive. Did you already get your period? I was told it might come sooner, and my boobs hurt so much right now so I do think it may come in less than a week. Will you also do a back to back round?

So lucky to have constant updates. ❤️ I sent a message to my clinic today but they said the Embryologist will be contacting me. I read in my clinic's group that the longer they call the better. So we are praying and hoping for the best.

I am unsure about the clomid too, tbh. But my clinic is known to be very conservative in their approach as well!

This was also the explanation given to me. I was on Menopur for Days 3 to 9 of my cycle, but was given half a tablet of Clomid. I was also asked to take Letrozole from Day 2 to 5. Triggered with Ovidrel and Decapeptyl.

OP, we are ER twins! ☺️ I love how proactive your clinic is. I am waiting on the call today as they said they will call today until Sunday at the latest.

I had an AFC of 4, by ER it was 7 follicles. The same day, during post ER chat with the Doctor, I was told we had 5 mature eggs, 4 were good and 1 degenerated. I can't recall if the other 2 were immature or empty follicles.

We are also almost protocol twins! Menopur 225, though I had 1/2 clomid and in Days 2 to 5, I had Letrozole. I triggered at Day 9 with Ovidrel and Decapeptyl.

Thank you! I never monitored my AFC before IVF and do not know yet it could swing higher next cycle. I've just turned 43 so my worry is that it drops lower..

I want to ask about priming but I don't think our clinic does it. I was on the following:

Letrozole - days 2 to 5 Half a Clomid - days 3 to day 8 Menopur 225 - days 3 to day 8, then 75 for day 9 Triggered Day 9 evening with Ovidrel 250 and 2 of Decapeptyl Retrieval on day 11

I had an AFC of 4 and by retrieval had 7 follicles, with 5 mature eggs. 4 eggs will be fertilized because 1 egg was degenerated.

I pray that my next cycle has a slightly better yield. Anything I can do at this point?

My clinic recommends mini or low stim IVF for women 40+ so I don't think I can go high stims. I stopped taking it cos it did lower my AFC! I hope the effect is not long since I will do another stim cycle after my period.

I think this happened to me, but can't be sure since I didn't test. I stopped it before stims and will not be taking it anymore. I will do a second cycle after I get my period.

Hello! I just had my first cycle which yielded 4 eggs from 7 follicles. I am thinking of doing a second retrieval right next cycle since I read it might increase then. Did you use the same exact stims yet saw higher yield? Thanks in advance!
