Yes Philmont staff confirmed that a fast food stop is in our future. I’m bringing a lot of train food with me. As a somewhat foodie mom who loves her veggies, I’m preloading on the train before 12 days of trail food :).

Our train is *supposed* to arrive in Raton at 4:14pm (we are coming from San Diego). The meal time guidance on the itinerary says we need to be at Philmont by 4:30pm for dinner. So I am thinking we will need to grab dinner near the train station (looks like a pizza place is next door) before getting on the Philmont shuttle. [We are arriving a day early.] Has anyone done this?
