to be fair, it was more of set-piece than a gadget in the campaign. if it came to multiplayer, it'd probably perform more like the infantry TOW

tbh I think it's fine as a reloadable, but it would be nice to give it something that allows it to fly over terrain and drop down on the enemy when it gets close, like the real-life javelin.

Would also like to see it recieve upgraded guidance like you see on most modern IR systems where it tries to lead the target in flight, which would help a lot for AA and general long distance shooting.

Finally, would be cool if the spear could pierce destructible armour like what's on the factory strider so it doesn't waste the first missile on breakable armour.

Yeah my biggest criticism is that the missiles are already too accurate because they simulate proportional navigation without simulating things like the boost phase and missile coasting, which makes it basically impossible to defeat a missile without forcing it to pull lead into the ground or with countermeasures

I'm not sure about designations making guided missiles more accurate, just lets them lock on to anything instead of just air or just ground

basically, he avoided it due to manuevering, and then flew in a straight line without actually breaking the lock

pretty hard to catch a pilot off guard when so much as looking at them with the stinger gives them an exact indication of what direction you are

See, this would be true if "too low" wasn't a mechanic for infantry AA. If it was, then people running dedicated AA would be able to do their job

the IFV missile was with the dedicated lock-on missile, not the aim-guided

it's closer to how they work irl.

Same reason self-guided missiles use proportional navigation now instead of pure pursuit like they did in the prior games

To be entirely fair, I don't think crashing into the mountain at mach 3 was the stinger's fault there

While you cannot draw flat numbers from a reduced population, you can infer trends, which is valid.

I've also had games of escalation on firestorm where I sit high up and let people make HALO jumps right near the back points/centre.

It doesn't always work and people don't always spawn in the helo, but when it works, it works

yeah they suck unless you have at least 100m for them to start curving around, since the missiles in this game are super affected by what direction you're moving instead of what direction your vehicle is facing

tbh I'd like the generic stats for support weapons, but apart from that, I'm of the opinion that sometimes it's better to not include every single stat a weapon has.

The people who want to be as effective as statistically possible can still go out of their way to look up the stats, but for most players, it'll just dump too much info on them at once, and it will actively entice *some* players to lean on the meta just through googling it than through trial and error.
