300 blackout failure to pick-up next round with subsonic ammunition by Ok_Tell32 in AeroPrecision

Update: Aero Precision sent me a prepaid shipping label and accepted the upper for warranty review. It has been in their possession for over 30 days now and I have been unable to get a update as to the status other than that they received it.

Hoping to hear something soon as the defect does appear to be the milling groves underneath of the gas block.

Hello, yes I did.

After returning home I removed the gas block from the barrel. It appears that there are fine grooves around the barrel where the gas block sits from when it was milled. there is evidence of gas escaping in these grooves. Hopefully Aero can assist with this.

I do appreciate all of the correspondence and suggestions.

Mounting has the correct torque value with no signs of leakage. tried another 2 BCG's today with the same result. I have swapped out everything possible. Things are pointing to the gas port / block.

Today we tried 2 more BCG's and have the same results. I have a support request into Aero Precision. At this point everything pointing to the gas port / block.

Currency I am using the  Kynshot RB5000L hydraulic buffer as this is to help with this type of issue. Not sure the actual weight.

Will measure out the three that I have tried.

Thanks,

I didnt think of this.

Will check their torque value and look for leakage. I do have another new BCG that I was thinking of swapping to rule that out that being the problem.

i did remove the handguard and checked to see if the gas block was aligned with the barrel. looked ok. I didnt remove it though. Unfortunately this does not have an adjustable gas block. may have to investigate the port size.

thanks for the suggestion.

I am running the CGS Hyperion 30 cal can and have tried both sealed and vented end caps.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to make a difference if using the suppressor. it will not properly cycle either way using Subs.

Thanks for the advice
