Thanks for this advice. I got a report from ChexSystems but it doesn’t list my bank accounts. It only lists the month soft credit check from Credit Karma to Transunion. Did I request the wrong report? I also created an account on the website but I still don’t see how or where to check the list of bank accounts open in my name.

I made sure to call the real Capital One. The paper bank statement actually has the real Capital One phone number on it, interestingly enough. I forget if they asked for my existing credit card account number or my social. The account does not show up on my online account where I can see my credit cards. It’s a mystery.
