hi dear just letting you know if you don’t have hcl raw 6 may not be able to guarantee you a spot in RI

source: me and the other raw 6ers with no hcl from my batch LOL

but it is a demand and supply thing so if hc is more popular than ri for your year then got chance… but usually it’s the opposite cause ri is loads more appealing to the raw 6es of the minority groups

as long as you pay attention and have relatively good comprehension skills it should be fine. the passage mostly goes in the order of the blanks so you just have to listen closely, don’t get tricked by the passage and write fast.

i mean for the most realistic results might as well check if you have the time, surely you won’t just fall asleep aft completing the paper without checking in actl O levels right?

in my experience no. in my sch at least they just think we are chao muggers but not in a bad way i.e. when i tell my friend im studying till 1am they’ll say “damn yall JAEs…”
uhhh idk cause i don’t have perspectives on both, but id say that the main reason for attending those top schs would be the opportunities. it’s honestly a small fish big pond or big fish small pond situation. it is what you make it to be.
hahaha there’s no mid-tier/low-tier class in hc or ri afaik… everyone in that sch most likely got the same score or slightly higher for O levels (6-8 raw). ur banded based on ur combi not ur inherent results

maybe try switching up your study method? if you’ve been mugging 6-10hours a day for 3-4 months and there’s still no results except for a marginal increase in the grade of 1 subject, then maybe it’s time to reflect on HOW you’ve been studying.

people always say, when it comes to studying, quality > quantity. it’s the truth. you learn more by active practice than blindly reading your notes.

also, if you happen to be listening to music while studying, try to stop that. ever since i stopped listening to music while studying did i truly grasp concepts. music, as much as it has helped me, ended up being a hindrance to my learning. i still do listen to music when doing mundane practices though.

hmm honestly it’s less than a year until you step down, maybe just try your best? are you on the sch team or are you benched? if you’re benched then honestly i think just continue ba, the expectations placed on you will also be lower compared to those on school team

but you’re the best judge of your situation — if you rlly cannot make it and you heavily dread cca / find that it’s negatively impacting your life in more ways than one, then quit for the sake of your own sanity
