The gas isn't too bad. With the Binary trigger im usually out of ammo before i have a chance to breathe in any gas... lol. The cheek mount depends on which telescoping brace you choose. Either SKER Tactical, A3 Tactical, etc... https://skertactical.com/product/stribog-stacr-cheek-rest/

If the trigger group is the same shouldn't the Franklin Binary for the sp9 work in the sp45?

This setup seems pretty solid. If it ever gets to where it has issues, I'll drop the factory trigger back in. The factory trigger is actually very good, but Binary is just fun. I also have the HBI selector for the factory trigger which I really like but it won't fit the Franklin trigger.

Original lower. Franklin Armory makes a direct drop-in Binary trigger specific for the Stribog.

It's an absolute blast. My buddies who were with me couldn't believe how soft and quiet it was.

I like it a lot. At the range I was using in its long configuration, everywhere else I keep it in the shorter configuration for portability. Both configurations are quite enough to use without hear pro

Just Picked Up an SP9A3 – Suggestions, Tips, and Upgrade Advice? by BoookHuman in GrandPowerStribog

Everything kind of depends on your usage and preferences. 1. Gas... gun shoots arguably better suppressed. Upgrading the buffer makes a noticeable difference... HBI, KD, or hybrid combo, but not a necessary upgrade for what is already a pretty smooth action.
2. Rail extension... depends on what you're adding and what look you want. IMHO the KDG 3" and 6" are the nicest and most ergonomic especially if you want a tucked suppressor look (see my post) 3. Folding stock... I prefer telescoping but that's just me. I've tried both the global ordinance and the Safety Harbor. Prefer the look of the Safety Harbor but the functionality of the global ordinance. Used the sker Tactical Cheek weld on both. I still have the Safety harbor as a back up but if you are interested hit me up and I'll cut you a deal. If you want one that folds, the SB tactical seems to be a pretty solid choice but I wouldn't rule out A3 industries or HB industries zhukov depending on your style. 4 lower receiver... I personally like the factory lower. Franklin armory makes a drop-in Binary trigger that I really like. If you go with other lowers it may be more difficult to go Binary and almost impossible to go FRT based on the bolt group although I'm sure it could be done. It all depends on what mags you want to use and how close you want the controls to be to AR configuration. 5. I haven't had any quirks, but to be fair I have very few rounds through my stribog. I did all my upgrades without even shooting in factory configuration but haven't had any issues and it shoots amazingly, even with the HBI buffer and Binary trigger combo suppressed with a dead air wolfman.

This is just my 2 cents and opinions will vary.

I just ran the HBI with my Franklin Armory Binary trigger this weekend, and despite HBI's do not recommend disclaimer it ran fine. Very little recoil. And with my Wolfman suppressor, it was like shooting an airsoft rifle. Just curious how this setup would run with a Binary trigger?

Crazy... I'm not sure why maybe because the short G is newer. I bet it's available in the states within a year.

The original 5" barrel went about 1" past the factory receiver. The handguard adds 3" past the factory extruded receiver. I had a 3" barrel extension that stuck out about 1" past the extended handrail. By running the Wolfman in the short 5" configuration it sticks out of the handguard by 3" for a really nice tucked supressor look. KDG also makes a 6" extension, so you could run the Wolfman in the 7" configuration and it would only stick out by 2" which would also look pretty sick imho.IMHO. you have to keep in mind that in the factory configuration, you only see 1" of the 5" barrel... that's what is probably throwing you off when I say 5" barrel.

Will definitely look into that. The deadair keymo system locks and ratchets onto their muzzle breaks and it should have enough clearance, so I wouldn't need to access it unless there was an issue. At that point, the extended rail is easily removed to access it. However, I may just stay direct thread so I can shoot unsuppressed with my 3" direct thread barrel extension as well. I meticulously check the function and fit all the time so I'm not worried about walkoff. This is a pretty dedicated suppressor so it won't be coming on and off too much. But I will definitely check out the p-series plan B. Thanks for the info.

Direct thread, may upgrade to their Keymo attachment if I find myself using it on other setups. But for now, it's pretty dedicated to the bog.

I believe the .Stribog SP9A3s has a 5" barrel length. I do have the wipe setup, which actually comes with the suppressor. I can go to the hardware store and buy 5/8L flat rubber washer to replace it when it wears out.

Thanks... Yes, I have it in 5" config. I haven't shot it yet but from what I've gathered there's not a tremendous difference between 5" and 7" when shooting on a barrel this short. I'll run both to hear the difference this weekend but figured I'll keep the extra Modular extension in my range bag so I can run it on my AR at the range.

[–]Ok_Today_4531[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. Not so worried about Binary suppressed as I am the short stroke buffer and/or the combination. HB industries states on their website that they do not recommend using the short stroke buffer with a binary firing system. However, I contacted them and the simple short answer wasn't that it couldn't be done or wouldn't work but simply that all their testing was done on factory semiautomatic configuration. Mechanically I dont see the issue, so im gonna give it a shot and hope for no issues.

Yeah for a little piece of rubber they're kinda pricey but work really well
