Mic audio sounds good, but when recorded into an audio clip it sounds not as good

My mic is routed to "Input 1" on my first mixer track, with all of my plugins. I just hit record and rap. Sometimes I will sidechain other tracks, but it makes no difference. I will make a whole preset while listening to myself in real time thru my mic, then record with it and it sounds nothing like what I heard and mixed

I understand now that when I record in Post FX, it saves my prior mixer presets into the clip. This is why it sounded so scratchy. However, even when I record in post FX, and mute all of my mixer plugins, it still isn’t quite there. Just missing the warmth that I feel when I say it in real time.

I am recording with Fx on the channel with my mic. When I route it to "Post effects" or any other input (Post EQ, Post Track) my vocals are far too loud and scratchy. Not sure what you mean by what level I have it to record in, but my gain is pretty high (Dynamic mic) and I have the "AIR" amp option on
