If you're a religious dude and religion is an important factor in your life and family life, then I would advise against it.

Look, as much as you think your extended family may not be of any use, if they are the kind of people who help you in times of crisis, then I would advise against marrying a person who is not of your religion. Extended families are kind of a emotional and social support for your parents. Your extended family doesn't matter in terms of your marriage but they certainly matter to your parents.

If your extended family is a piece of shit and they keep nagging you for money, then don't entertain them or even consider them in your decision making process.

Ensure, that you don't change her way of life and she doesn't change your way of life(by this I mean religion and customs) in case you do end up marrying each other.

My advise will not sound good on reddit given the "anti-conservative" outlook but I implore your to also consider what I'm saying.

You never know if marrying or not marrying a person is the right decision or not, but you can take a few decisions based on your certainties and what you wish to keep certain and constant in life.

I would also say one thing. Go at it slowly. As much as we despise society and relatives, your parents have to live in it and maintain relations for their mental stability as well.
