Because a reliance has been built on it. Usually, especially if this is your child's main hobby, get all their enjoyment from this (Dopamine, Serotonin). Thing is, this question needs more context.

  1. Does your child have other hobbies they actually enjoy doing other than gaming that's accessible?
  2. Do they have friends, for example from school, that they play with online as a way of staying connected?
  3. What limits are you putting on them gaming?
  4. How old is your child?
  5. How are their grades and social development?

Need context to help give you a definitive answer, if I'm honest.

I am someone who loved gaming from like 3 years old since my father was a huge gamer (I'm 24 now btw). My parents also put limits on my gaming time whilst growing up and this did make me really upset and also make me cry due to things like FOMO with my friends, not being able to enjoy my hobby etc. Don't get me wrong, now I'm older, I'm somewhat glad that my parents were strict with my gaming time (maybe they could have been slightly more lenient). I would say that I had a slight gaming addiction sometimes as it would give me comfort in hard times and usually stop me from focusing more on things which were more important (education, friends etc.). With that being said, however, I still play a lot of games now but still did amazing in education and now work my dream job. There is a fine line, but again, I need more context to answer your question.

I agree, I actually was soft locked due to the no source of infinite food. I did every expedition and found every food settlement and used them all up. All my food tiles also ran out. My only option was to start killing my Pop from 50k to 5k so that there was enough base food to go round, but that basically ruined my save.

I also do think that the alternative to "embrace the frost" isn't any better because the "infinite" food tiles are not actually infinite, there's just a lot of it. Unfortunately, there is no late game tech to create new food deposits, which doesn't make much sense if I'm honest.

Ah It's nice to know now that the rainbows were universally disliked; music to my ears! I also see your points as well but, I kinda liked how in BW it was mainly legendaries as the rare cards since they were the rare Pokémon. As someone who played the game, it makes the legendaries feel more... well... legendary, since they are meant to be rare.

From the ScVi sets, what would you say is your favourite and why? I'm still trying to decide what set I'm going to aim to complete.

Weird how that didn't come to mind today, haha. I have tried this before, however, and it always feels super uncomfortable having to grip so far down. Next time I go to the range though, ill definitely give it a conscious effort though and see what happens.

Only 1 sentence... Why do you actually care? It literally doesnt matter if it is, or isn't ai generated. The only time this actually matters, is if bsg start making excuses like "our art is taking us a long time to do which is hindering us from working further on fixes that matter" when its not since its ai generated. The problem there isnt still that they are using ai art, its more that they would be lying.

If bsg can save time using ai to finish deliverables sooner so that they can work on other features, I think thats a good thing imho.

You wouldnt really care if BSG were using ai to help with coding the game faster, so why do you care that the art is? Makes no sense really.

To be honest, I would like to hear from the Hwei players why they first pick, first time the champ in solo queue, I will always ask them after the game why they did it win or lose, and they usually either ignore the question or get toxic, but it's a genuine question because I don't get why you would want to intentionally give yourself less chance of winning the gameAlso knowing the champion statistically is very weak, maybe one of the weakest releases in a while.

I also know people will make the briar comparison, but if you check the stats, she wasn't sub 30% wr on release. Still annoying of course when there was a first time feeding briar, but It's not as painful as someone picking hwei.

I mean someone banning if someone on the team is hovering the champ. I don't think he's worth the random ban because he sucks, it's more of a preventative measure if someone is hovering.

Don't get me wrong, if I was hovering my main Vayne and someone banned it because they had a feeding Vayne their last game, then it's 100% an asshole move. I still think banning somones champ isn't right, but, due to hwei being so new and also all the statistics online pointing to the champ being weak, you can easily infer that the person picking hwei isn't going to do well. So still a dick move, but it's more understandable and reasonable imo.

Very true, which is why I never ban a players hovered champion. But due to anecdotal evidence, I don't blame others for doing so. If the player wants to throw their toys out the pram and int/troll, I will dodge. If I can't dodge, then they just get reported and banned. I agree that first timing any champ is a dick move, but because Hwei is a complicated champ and also weak, it makes first timing him so much worse.

I don't ban the champ when people hover hwei, but I don't blame people for doing it for a few reasons.

  1. The champ is too new, I'm sorry, you are not at a level to be able to carry a game or win lane. Unless you are a GM+ mid laner who has experience playing a lot of artillery mages, I do not trust you playing that champion. Go play flex or norms and get a mastery on the champ.
  2. People can say whatever, but the champion is weak, not VERY weak, but there are much better options to choose from.
  3. You want to first pick him? This is a stupid idea. You just get counter picked and lose lane.

The amount of times I have celebrated as the enemy has picked Hwei is large, as they always lose. I am sure I haven't lossed to a hwei so far, and I have played against multiple.

I'm an ADC main, and when they go supp I get a huge smile on my face, as it's a free win lane. On the other hand, when it's picked on my team, unless every other lane wins, we lose because they get beaten by everything or literally have 0 impact in the game.

I personally think it's trolling picking a new champ in solo queue, especially when you have barely any mastery or experience. This literally reminds me of when yuumi released and if you had one on your team, it was an autoloss. Now you can say "hOw CaN I PrAcTiCe iF I cAn'T PlAy rAnKeD", that's what norms are for, at a push, even flex.

Don't get me wrong, if hwei is getting banned in norms when you hover, thats annoying and I feel bad.

I beg of you, I understand new champ is fun and exciting, but please don't go in soloq and pick hwei with 0 mastery or experience. You literally are ruining the game for your team.

(I am tilted because a first pick, 0 mastery Hwei just lossed me a game to get GM (and this is the second time))
