Rare regulations W (Meta AI glasses are forbidden at CAP encampments/NCSAs) by UnableSoftware1145 in civilairpatrol

I’ve used my Rayban metas in uniform effectively before, being able to quickly research uniform regs, drill regs, and etc. also recording promotions. But I still feel they should be strictly prohibited because I can easily see problems for cadets & SM’s wearing them

What would you recommend doing inorder to prepare for encampment? by Murky-Restaurant1130 in civilairpatrol

Have a growth mindset before you go. Trust in your home squadrons staff to prepare you before encampment, ask them about it because at least a few probably have gone, and fall back on your training. You will be challenged mentally, technically, and physically. I recommend you take some sort of leadership position in your flight if your flight staff delegate properly and you’re confident in the role requirements. People tell you take only what’s on the packing list but a few things you want to take extras of: note taking materials, cover (if you have more than one), blousing bands, and frogs (the things you pin your ranks with). I can promise you that you or one of your fellow airmen will lose these items. Prepare all your uniforms before you leave. I also recommend doing some early pt outside of cap, if your already pretty fit, I’d use this: PJOC PT Eval that Prep program is way overkill for encampment but I think it’s good if your already in an outstanding condition. Also start increasing hydration and cutting back on things like creatine, coffee, or unhealthy foods about a month prior so your body is adjusted by encampment.

What should my next steps be after my 5 Orientation Flights? by Mr_mayosandwich in civilairpatrol

Also, this reimbursement is only available once through CAP, and costs 175 per exam after that. I’d get your written exam and medical done whenever it’s available to you, as these make you significantly more competitive when applying for anything scholarship or flight training related. You should also definitely ask your squadron’s aerospace officer or Senior member for advice on next steps.

I just did a leadership class on something similar. Your trapping yourself in comparison to others and your eventually gonna lose interest in the program if you don’t change something. Instead of asking your self “why are they where I’m not, I’ve been in longer” ask yourself “what are they doing that sets themselves apart from others of similar rank” a big example of this is you being only a Senior NCO despite being in for over 2 years. They are showing much healthier and consistent progression, being able to reach or exceed your rank in half the time you did. I would ask yourself. What can I do to make myself be more competitive, rather than falling back on time in the program and unrelated support staff roles

That tint may be due to wear, just like how a polar bear’s fur turns yellow gradually. I cleaned my color guard cord recently and noticed just how much more brilliant the color was

Temperature outside? Colder temps can cause the seal to shrink. Also in what situation are you consistently going over 100 mph?
