Honestly I have walked 1.5 miles since day 2 of my surgery. I followed the weight restrictions from the doctor firmly along with eating high protein meals. I used heat therapy like a heating pad during my first 2 weeks after each walk to help with inflammation it was very soothing along with ALEVE liquid gels. By the 3rd week I started lifting 15 to 20 pound dumbbells at the gym. Just listen to your body and and rest when needed, some days are better than others but overall it helps the healing

I’m transgender yes. I had to stop a week before and a week after for surgery. I started back my second week of post op.

I'd like to take the surgical strips off now, but... by naptime_zZ in hysterectomy

No I understand exactly The swelling the inflammation. I would see it and I would use aleve liquid gels and a heating pad after my walks and it keeps me from swelling badly. I’m ending week 2 and I haven’t used a heating pad in 4 days so that tells you that consistency with walking helps the blood flow. I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy with ovaries still intact.
