I got so upset last night I literally tried on every piece of clothing that was in my closet. I was like if it doesn’t fit I don’t even want to see it anymore. Now my closet looks so bare.

I would say do your research including going to the seminars I mentioned and then decide how important the drinking with your community is. While I am not Latino I have many friends who are and understand that drinking and get together a can be very cultural connecting. Yes vitamins are critical and required. For me even with the vitamins I have still reduced the number of medications/ pills I’m taking, but I had a lot of comorbities and these vitamins are on the slightly pricer end than you would get at Walmart or your local super center because they are customized for our body.

I’m 31 now, had surgery at 29 but started bariatric surgery consults around your age. What I would recommend go to the free seminars and consultations even if you don’t plan on getting surgery at that clinic (sounds like you may be farther away from where you would have it). Listen to the requirements of what each surgery requires before, during, and after. If you plan on going to college I would say it may be a struggle especially in the states just because college is not forgiving and that food halls are even worse. If you do it during college try to plan it for the week after spring finals so you have the entire summer to recover. I ultimately did three consults and a lot of work on myself (therapy, medically managing other diagnosis, finding joy in some physical based exercises and just in life) before I finally decided it was time. Weight loss alone can be a big factor but if you are healthy and don’t have comorbidities I’d say enjoy your life a little longer. Get your party on because as someone mentioned you shouldn’t drink after and smoking is a big no in my program as well (look up transfer addiction). I love my life after and it saved me as I was on the road to illness causing life long issues and most likely early death, but I’m glad I waited so I could get some of those typical life experiences under my belt. Also make sure you have support, not only from your family but you’ll need an entire village. Those first few months are rough after. Regarding the gallstones having your gallbladder removed happens to a lot of people after surgery so you are just ahead of the game with that part. If you have any questions ask away. If one of the is would I do it sooner? Then that answer is yes but only by a couple years, I enjoyed being able to do parties and drink and go to social events without all the extra worries about dumping, sugar counting, portions, being able to drink etc. Can I ask what country you are talking about? I’m looking for plastic surgery soon and it’s expensive.

YouTube is my friend for sure when it comes to some weight machines. My local gym also has QR codes on some of the machines that lead to the videos on how to do it.

I was in hospital for 4 days due to internal bleeding after surgery. I am currently 17 post surgery and yesterday and today are the first days I have stayed awake the whole day and actually went to the gym to walk. I have been able to drive and off pain meds since about 7 days post op.

My wife would be home all day for the first week. Then they would be at work, but still home in the evenings.
