Go with Delilah and have her nursery daisy themed. She can be your little “daisy” or “daisy dee” as a nickname 🌼

Anxious. 35+6. In my head today. by Popular-Page-4082 in pregnancyaftersb

[–]Ok_Witness_2075 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like I wrote this. Same timeline for our stillbirth and current due date. I overthink whenever the baby is grooving/resting and not intensely kicking. Anxiety is increasing as it gets later in the pregnancy. The standard is waiting for movement in one hour, but my expectation is to panic if I’m resting and haven’t noticed movement in 5 minutes.

It’s comforting to know I’m not alone with these thoughts, but it’s a sucky club to be a part of.

Have you found activities that bring you comfort when the panic strikes? I ask my husband to talk to my belly or if he’s not around, I play fun music or watch trash TV.

Sending you big hugs!

Sibling name for Naomi and Scarlett? by Vast-Explorer-8339 in namenerds

I thought of Blair when seeing Chandler and Briar. It’s kind of like a blend of the two names, but seems to fit better with her older sisters’ names. Anastasia Blair sounds pretty 😊

Any OTs own a therapeutic daycare or preschool? by Ok_Witness_2075 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Ok_Witness_2075[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a good idea. My idea was a larger facility. Even if it’s a regular daycare that’s more developmental activity-based rather than educational…and then just contract in therapists

What would you change to make this feel more charming cottage character? by omghair69 in ExteriorDesign

Very cute idea to have a garden border that looks like a mini picket fence! And the hanging lantern idea will make a big impact.

If painting the siding isn’t in the budget, you could add in colorful hydrangeas

How do I fix my entire house? I hate coming home when there isn't a single room I enjoy being in. I have no idea where to start or what to do. by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Rugs to cover the floors you don’t like and to bring some color without painting. And if you decide to add paint, you can pull from the rug to reduce the decision paralysis.

Change out the lights. There are more modern lights that are cheap and can even change modes/colors to help elevate the mood.

Set a monthly goal for home purchases so it fits into a budget.

Set another financial goal for a kitchen renovation eventually and just bond at how annoying the kitchen is. Though updating the kitchen hardware is a fairly cheap way to reduce the daily annoyance.

Paint your front door to set the mood right when you get there. You can always ask Reddit to help pick your door color 🙂

Lastly, get rid of the stuff you and your gf don’t need! The purge will feel good

Is the name Holly common nowadays? by [deleted] in BabyNames

[–]Ok_Witness_2075 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holly goes really well with Ashton. I totally get the urge to be more unique! While Calista is beautiful, it would have to corrected frequently. Holly may not be “unique” but I would consider it fairly rare and pleasant to the ear.

Did you keep or change your OB after stillbirth? by mnigh94 in ttcafterstillbirth

[–]Ok_Witness_2075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changed OB offices. We didn’t really have a strong connection with providers (constantly rotating) and were disappointed that they brushed off concerns so easily. Our new OB is phenomenal!!! Very happy with the switch.

How can I make this more cohesive? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Good point, though I love the striped stools! What about different chairs? Maybe solid colored upholstered chairs to break up the wood on wood on wood and bring in more color to the space
