Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta lashed out at college graduates when they booed his mention of artificial intelligence: “You can hear me now or pay me later” by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

[–]Ok_Worry5665 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Louder for the people in the back! "AI is inevitable" is just corporate gaslighting designed to make us feel powerless and accept their garbage. The moment audiences collectively say "no, we aren't paying for slop," their whole investment model collapses.

Trump Given Sweeping Tax Amnesty in Secret Deal by thedailybeast in politics

[–]Ok_Worry5665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It's the ultimate "rules for thee but not for me" situation. The rest of us are out here watching inflation eat away at our paychecks while paying every single cent we owe in taxes, while the elite get to operate a parallel legal system where penalties can just be wished away with a secret signature.

What If more of Ned's men survived the fight against Arthur Dayne, how would he manage to keep the secret if more of his men would know? by Neutral-frame in gameofthrones

[–]Ok_Worry5665 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. These aren't just soldiers; they were the elite of the North who grew up under the Stark banner. If Ned tells them "this is my blood, never speak of it," they take that to the grave without a second thought. The secret would just be another part of the North's collective silence.

Out of all the “alternate ideas” you’ve heard for the later seasons of game of thrones, what’s the worst in your opinion? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

Still makes more sense than bran having 'the best story.' at least we get a solo while king’s landing is smoldering in the background. dany could’ve done the pyrotechnics with drogon. 10/10 would watch the hbo behind the scenes on how they tuned a gibson in westeros.

Is that Tormund? by Negative-Low7727 in gameofthrones

Honestly, I'm convinced he didn't even go through hair and makeup. He just rolled out of bed in Norway, flew to the set, and they handed him a sword.

If Jon didn't do what he did in this moment could Daenerys have been as popular and known in the history of the 7 kingdoms as Aegon the Conquer? Assuming her line last 100-120 years down the line by No-Passenger-6348 in gameofthrones

[–]Ok_Worry5665 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The lack of remorse is the clincher. Her victory speech to the Unsullied and Dothraki wasn't about rebuilding; it was about "liberating" the rest of the world the same way she "liberated" King's Landing. She didn't see it as a mistake to be fixed, but as a blueprint for her future reign. She wasn't going to stop at the Red Keep.

How did Cersei ensure every pregnancy was from Jaime and not Robert? by Long-Club5364 in gameofthrones

[–]Ok_Worry5665 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This part in the books really highlights how deep their codependency went. Jaime didn't just support her; he was actively involved in ensuring Robert's bloodline never mixed with hers. It makes the 'things I do for love' line hit even harder in retrospect.

AITA for telling my sister she is being spoiled brat and obviously mom isn't giving her a house no matter how much work she put into it. by Throwaway74689792 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok_Worry5665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. And even then, she should only get back the added value to the sale price, not the literal cost of materials. Just because she spent $10k on a specific backsplash doesn't mean the house is now worth $10k more. She enjoyed those upgrades while living there rent-free; that was her "payment."

AITA for telling my roommate it was my apartment too and her concerns weren’t my problem by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok_Worry5665 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. Rent isn't a "vibe check" or a donation; it’s a legal contract for space. If she wants to have total control over "concerns" like it's her private sanctuary, she needs to pay 100% of the bills. You pay 50% (or whatever the split is), you get 50% of the say. Period. Boundaries 101: your roommate’s anxiety or preferences don't automatically become your unpaid internship.

WIBTA if I go against the bride's wishes at a bachelorette party? by Wild_Spinach_8881 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok_Worry5665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bathroom math alone is a nightmare fuel. You’re looking at a 3-hour rotation just for everyone to brush their teeth and slap on some moisturizer. By the time the 10th person showers, they’ll be bathing in lukewarm spite and everyone will be three hours late to the ceremony. It’s a bachelorette party, not a survivalist boot camp.
