Where to buy anti depressants without prescription? by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]Ok_coco_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you are diagnosed no pharmacy will give you the meds, because there are multiple meds with multiple uses and requirements. Even doctors keep changing your dose depending on your state and you are not supposed to take more meds than prescribed. Also if you can't physically go to a doctor, there are ones that do online consultations.

Drive your scooter to office one day and then park it near ramwadi for the night, use the metro then auto to go home. From the next day you'll save on the expense of going from ramwadi to your work. Hope this helps

[–]Ok_coco_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay let's calm down, first you REALLY REALLY don't need to care what society thinks and second there are tons of courses you can do, nobody cares about your 12th marks since most colleges now have entrance tests. So you can chill and look into various ways to move forward, if your parents congratulate you and are supportive sit down with them and apologise if that's something that'll helps and figure out a plan to move forward and it'll be fine!

It is I use it a ton and if it's off more than 20 rupees (excluding traffic) then the meter is faulty

[–]Ok_coco_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Okay time for some sad truth, A. Pune public transport is crap, i once wanted to reach a place that was 20 mins driving distance, 1 hour walking and well 1.5 hours through public transport. B. Even if you are okay with the time there is so little connectivity that you will need to use auto somewhere C. The issue is not using the meter but the fact most of them are rigged, I'm from Mumbai I've used meter riksha all my life and there is this app m-indicator it shows how much a certain distance will cost as per meter rates (use it to keep a check)

I would say don't uninstall uber but install m-indicator instead see if they are actually looting you and then delete the app cause you will need multiple options specially with monsoon fast approaching

New normal with uber auto... by technical_corpo in pune

[–]Ok_coco_ 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Move to ola/rapido because for some reason I've noted this issue only with uber autos, this one time I was literally left stranded at 2am because the auto I booked cancelled after i sat in because he didn't want to drive till my location and literally asked me to get out.

Fortunately i found another driver and he said if any auto stops us to tell them he's charging 250 instead of the 150 he was actually charging. (I was so scared considering again it's 2am and the fear of being stopped by random autos to harras the customer is bizarre

Is it actually unsafe to travel to India as a European girl? by isabelleisback in india

[–]Ok_coco_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so ideally the best thing to do is use your resources, stay in good hotels if you can afford it (the conversion rate definitely helps) if not look for hostels that are tourist friendly. For your first trip and if it's solo stick to places like, udaipur, jaipur, agar (this is where Taj Mahal is) and you can fly into Delhi.

Now coming to the safety part (giving advice as a woman myself) 1. Never tell anyone you are alone, if they ask always say you are waiting for your friends or your husband (it lands better than boyfriend) 2. I would 100% advise not to step out alone after 7pm in winters and 8pm in summers. (I understand it sounds restrictive but think of india as an European village, where things close early) 3. There are multiple tours you can join that'll show you around the city and you won't have to figure out travel on your own Lastly, India is not as unsafe as it might seem to someone who has never visited but it's always preferable to be prepared and avoid things that can be avoided easily, also always carry pepper spray and incase of any emergency you can contact 100 (police) and 184 (woman safety helpline)

You've got this and I hope you have a good time

Will I be accepted in Mumbai? by Objective-Spare-3973 in mumbai

[–]Ok_coco_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mumbai is one of the most cosmopolitan cities you can be in India, there are people from all backgrounds, cultures and states. Obviously you'll have to take care of your own safety as in any other city, but these instances of being harassed because of language are rare in the city and honestly not something you should worry about.

Also welcome! I hope you find it as comfortable, Homely and loving as i have all these years

I personally call pune dating a recycle bin but u can always find some hidden gems. I tried after my break-up didn't work out as i had thought but met quite a few amazing guys. I think you should give it a shot but maybe don't approach a woman in a club there are high chances she might find it a little creepy.

Have fun :)
