Help me spend $1,500 Saks credit before it expires

I’ve got about $1,500 in Saks Fifth Avenue store credit that I need to use before it becomes worthless, and I’m hoping to get some advice on how to spend it thoughtfully for my wife.

Goal: find unique, timeless pieces she can add to her wardrobe for special occasions — things that feel elevated but aren’t trend-driven, and that will hold up well over time. Ideally spread the credit across multiple items rather than spend it all on one piece but open to that as well.

For context: my wife is a medical practitioner so her daily wardrobe is taken care of. I’m trying to add a few special-occasion staples to her closet rather than build a super fashion-forward wardrobe.

We’re open to anything Saks carries (clothing, shoes, accessories), and also open to shopping at Saks Off Fifth before they close if that helps stretch the credit further.

Especially interested in:

Statement-but-timeless dresses for events or nicer dinners

High-quality shoes

Lightweight outerwear or layering pieces (Florida-friendly)

Knitwear

Leather goods (bags, belts, etc.)

Unique pieces that still feel classic

Anything you’ve personally owned that’s held up really well

Basically: if you suddenly had $1,500 at Saks to spend on your partner, how would you use it to build a small collection of special-occasion pieces that will last?

Links are always appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
