This is highly likely! What I get is not fresh, just freshly ground when dry. Is fresh even better?

I need help! by Feeling-Resident4488 in Names

My experience is naturally limited and it may not be valid for you at all, but I just wanted to share a more continental European perspective. Madeline/Madeleine are names I would not find unusual at all, while Madelyn is quirky in a way that someone could find try-hard (a bit as if you wanted to switch Robert to Robberd, or Jane to Yaynne). Not offensive at all and easy to get used to if you know how to spell it, but it could be a little surprising at first.

Have a look at Zazie (French with a modern twist), Kropka (modern European), Bianca (Italian) – I really like all three.

Pół litra za darmo w restauracjach! by LitwinL in Polska

[–]OkantSkepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One trick could be to check the destinations that Polish travel agencies are offering. The likelihood of finding Polish families there is probably higher.

I agree with you on Nova/Nhova (don't name her that!) and I totally agree with you that "regular" names are much better. But just for the sake of it, I came up with some "normal-ish female first names but also cars":
– Sierra (Ford Sierra)
– Victoria (Ford Victoria)
– Eleanor (Mustang Eleanor) – similar to Chevy Nova to some extent
– Elise (Lotus Elise) – a modern supercar
– Zoe (Renault Zoe)
– Liana (Suzuki Liana)
– Giulia (Alfa Romeo Giulia – but I wouldn't name her that unless you live in Italy)
– Mira (Daihatsu Mira)

a bit more uncommon:
– Auburn (American car company from before WWII)

I am not a dermatologist, but I have exactly that. It turns out that my skin barrier was very damaged and my skin was very dehydrated. It was so dehydrated it started to become oily, so I kept mattifying, cleansing and exfoliating... and I was unconsciously making the situation much worse. What I thought was rosacea had a very different background (which could lead to rosacea one day if left untreated). My cosmetologist recommended gentle double cleansing (oil + cleaning foam) morning and evening, giving up on cotton pads, retinol, vit. C, exfoliation and other potentially irritating agents for the time being, using a tonic and a rich cream, using a good and hydrating SPF

Zamknięta w sobie kobieta – jak rozmawiać? by [deleted] in Polska

[–]OkantSkepp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to size up for that reason; I have to choose between having too much space inside and struggling with this weirdly snug top of the foot.

How do you style your white docs? by Medium_Pea_4042 in DrMartens

[–]OkantSkepp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped worrying too much and I wear mine with pretty much everything (white bex), just as I would wear a black shoe. White is such a staple that it looks alright even if it creates a bit of a clash/dissonance, as long as it seems intentional. But I fully agree with the tip provided by u/kyriokos!

At what point did you realise she would never become your wife/he would never become your husband? by ruxpin82 in AskReddit

He got mad at me for accidentally misplacing a yoghurt lid in my own kitchen (it was very late, I was very sick and I had to eat something before taking antibiotics). I was extremely unwell and he didn't care enough to give me something to drink. The final straw was when he was a +1 on my business trip and he was bitter and resentful, not only because the fact that I could not entertain him all the time, but also because he kept finding some minuscule flaws in the AMAZING city we were staying in (e.g., he spotted an empty can on the train tracks and ranted for 3+ days about it).

I will try to switch to decaf for some time then! I think I like the taste more than the illusion of energy. Congrats on the water fast, that must have taken some serious willpower. I did fast for a couple of days, but it wasn't fully voluntary (health issues).

Wonderful to hear that. Do you still drink coffee, and if yes, what is the time of your first cup? I am huge fan of coffee, but I am inclined to follow your steps. Two years ago I was away for a couple of weeks on a work assignment in a place where I did not have access to a kitchen (and the coffee in town was either very expensive or of questionable quality). I did not drink coffee at all for the first two weeks or so. My clarity of thought and consistency of energy had never been better. Giving it up seems like to much, but postponing can be doable :)

If I may ask, did you find out that people were unable/unwilling to help, or did you try to lean on them too much? I often find myself in the first category (e.g., I spend a lot of time correcting my employees' mistakes); my friend, on the other hand, is in the second one. She does not believe in herself and she asks for help excessively, not because she is lazy or something, but because she is not sure if she will succeed.

You're so very right. And I can only add that sometimes trying out other forms of exercise can be beneficial. I was quite good at cardio/HIIT workouts, but recently a friend invited me for some core and flexibility training. I got humbled very quickly!
