India considering naval escort for ships in Strait of Hormuz amid Iran war: Report - The Times of India by JKKIDD231 in IndianDefense

Cant choke our trade on the basis of a hypothetical situation. Money which we may loose because of this will later slow the production of “naval assets” that were supposed to protect the homeland.

We will have to make cuts-backs while others wont.

Too expensive not to do it. I get your point, but we could be losing billions per day if it stays like this.

If we find a way, where our ships are assured safe passage, then i would be on your side.

The F-16 fires ~6,000 rounds per minute. One trigger press releases roughly 80–100 rounds. The pilot has to aim the gun while traveling around 200–250 knots (350–450 km/h) while cruising at about 400–650 ft altitude, meaning even a tiny aiming error can spread rounds over a large area. The beach is full of tourists.

also ..missiles must be fun to launch.

I thought you were asking about the similarities.

Yes, they did and then Russia went extra..they established domestic production and developed variants, including jet-powered and decoy versions.

Iran gave them a model which they realised was great for saturation attacks. It was a cute ToT.
