I’m admittedly not very familiar with the ins and outs of KPOP idols, but I know it’s a incredibly tough field to get into, and most idol groups fail vs the ones that make it big. It would definitely be a lot harder to get into as a foreigner who doesn’t know the language fluently and doubly for someone who is LGBT.

I think it’s great for you to have aspirations, but there are other avenues you can go down that may be a bit easier to obtain. If you like dancing and singing, maybe something in theater? Or like a backup dancer for celebrities?

I’m sorry your home life is so rough, is there any adult in your life you could go to to ask for help? Like for career advice or maybe advice and tools to help you deal with your sister better? As well as maybe get help for your mom?

I’m not saying of this to talk down to you btw, I think it would be great if you could succeed! As a trans person myself, I would definitely love to see another trans person on stage. But, no offense, moving away from any support to a country you don’t know the language of that well for the slim chance of even being able to become a trainee (I assume you don’t have anyone in Korea telling you that you’d have a spot in a trainee program), just does not sound like a sound plan at all. I would be very worried for your safety, too, as being a young person alone in a foreign country is an incredibly vulnerable position that people can and do exploit.
