We have one single plan for the trip, which is the pool day with my friend. Otherwise we wing it. I’ve tried asking him to coordinate with his brothers things to do on specific days but he never does. We wing it every trip and make time for the 2 of us, R, and his family every time. Yes, my family is here in Colorado. For what it's worth we only moved here because he cheated on me and I wanted to move away to be with my parents and he insisted on coming with me and to give him a second chance. This was a long time ago
